I Can't Do That! I'd Be Too EmBEARassed! A Nov 2015 TR New PTR link 10/13!

Great update!

I've never done garden grill. Based on your review I'm intrigued though and might have to try it sometime. It looks like you had a great meal and some good character interaction.

I think Mexico is one of my favorite countries because of the ride and the stuff inside.

All your character pictures came out so cute! It was nice of your waiter to make sure he was there to get your pic with Pluto.

So glad to hear how delicious this meal was! But sorry to hear about your coughing episode with Pluto!

Sounds like a good time shopping and in WS.

I always get jealous of the kids clothing..sometimes they are so cute and I totally wish they came in adult sizes!

Garden Grill looks yummy. We have never tried it. By now you konw that we like to try food we can;t get at home when we are on vacation. GG is pretty much homestyle food. That is so crazy that Pluto didn't even notice you were choking! I am sure you were so disappointed to have missed that time of interaction with your favorite pup.

Looks like you got some great shopping done.

I love Garden Grill - it is one of my favorite meals!!! The characters, the food, the atmosphere... I just may have to book this one as one of my chosen meals for V's trip? :scratchin It's been several trips since we've eaten here... :lovestruc Such a bummer that you were choking though - it would have made a great story if Pluto would have tried to help. :scratchin

Love all of the souvenirs you found for everyone! Love TLM sweatshirt especially - even though I am not a real huge TLM fan. ::yes:: But the Donald hand sanitizer!!! CUUUUUUUUTE!!!!! I may have to seek this out!

D~

Pluto couldn't offer you a heimlich maneuver? At least you had company while you choked, I suppose! :P

We enjoyed Garden Grill for dinner on our last family trip...but I must admit I ate more off of Jimmy's kids platter than I did off the "grown up" one :)

Mmmm, that strawberry margarita looked tasty. Sorry you had to throw it away but who wants to waddle around feeling yucky all afternoon :-/

Looks like you picked the perfect sweatshirts for the kiddos. I really love that Maleficent one you ended up not picking up for Morgan. The flames and hood were pretty awesome! :maleficen

All caught up! I am really enjoying your TR, Great job :cheer2: And I see you have started your January one, I hope it was warmer while you were there than it was for us.

I can't wait to see the new Soarin movie, I need to search for the projected opening date. I love all your pictures :daisy:!

Just got caught up. What a great day at Epcot. Garden Grill looks amazing. I loved all your character pictures.

Yum, sounds like a great lunch at Garden Grill! I've read so many great reviews of that place lately! Glad you found lots of good options that were good for your tummy!

I took some time and looked at the artwork on display in the Mexico pavilion/pyramid last trip and it was really interesting! We liked looking at all of the animal statues!

Glad you made it back to your room before the rain!

Oh My word...

So Pluto your beloved pal allowed you to choke to death... Not even a pat on the back! BAD DOG.
Or you could have died in the presence of your favorite character?!?!?! WHAAAAAAAAAAAA???
Im glad you were OK! Geesh!

Yes the food there is AH-MAZ-ING!!! simply the BEST! YUMMMM i wish we were there NOW!

Nice day at Epcot! I had been to the Garden Grill a few years ago and I remember it being one of the faves for that trip.

I have to comment on this Picture, I love the little touch that they had Mickey wearing a Birthday Button!! I had to go back to the beginning and look and that day was Nov 18th, the day of Mickey's first public appearance (Steamboat Willie).

I've had some great meals at Garden Grill, I definitely recommend it.

I do love Mexico although I'm also fond of Germany and Morocco.

He was an awesome waiter. He did so well even though he had just started a few weeks before that.

Ah well, looking back now the coughing incident was actually pretty funny. I'm sure I gave Pluto something to talk about.

I wanted that red sweatshirt in an adult size so badly!

Yeah, it is homestyle food which is what I love! But boy is it good because most of the veggies are grown right there.

I don't think I was choking too bad by the time he got there, it was probably much worse in my head than it looked. I'm not sure if I would have liked Pluto giving me the heimlich though. LOL.

The hand sanitizers were near the cash registers in most of the stores. Hopefully they will still be there when you go this fall.

Ha! That might have been a little awkward, getting the heimlich from Pluto.

I will admit the mac and cheese was probably my favorite. I also love the fish that they serve at dinner.

I was so bummed that I had to dump the margarita. They are really good but my stomach couldn't handle it that day.

January was a pretty mixed bag of weather as you will see. We had rain, cold, a few perfect days and one that was a little too hot.

I think the new one is supposed to open sometime this summer but I'm not sure of the exact date.

It was a great lunch! I think more people are eating there now that it's open for lunch. It's hard to eat dinner there since most people are back in WS by then.

I love all of those animal statues. I look at the ones for sale every time. One of these trips I'm going to bring one home.

I had great luck on this day with the rain as I totally missed it while hanging out in my room for a bit.

Ah well, I think by the time he actually got to him I was down to just some normal coughing. Still a bit embarrassing though.

Yep me too, I always want Disney food.

I've been multiple times now and really love eating there.

Yep it was Mickey's birthday! I totally forgot about that when writing the update. But I did remember at the time to wish him a Happy Birthday.

Main Street Electrical Parade and Wishes Again

So sorry for the absence folks! Things got quite crazy at work for a while and I didn’t have time to write or read TRs on the DIS. So now I’m weeks behind on everyone else’s TRs and need to play catch up again.

So where did I leave off. Oh yeah, I had a really nice morning at Epcot with Mo and the Gang, had lunch at Garden Grill, explored a few countries in WS, did some shopping and then headed out and back to my room for a break.

I made it back to my room right at 4 pm, just as it started raining. I crashed on my bed and watched something meaningless on TV for a while. My original plan was to have dinner around 6 pm at the resort and then head to MK for evening EMHs. However, when 6 pm rolled around I was still stuffed from my Garden Grill lunch so I decided to wait till later that evening for dinner.

I was on a bus at 6:20 pm and pulled into the MK at 6:50 pm. It had stopped raining and was beautiful for the rest of the night.

I noticed a PP photographer in front of the train station so I stopped there first.

I’ve gotten this Tinkerbell moving PP picture a few times.

As I headed into the park I realized it was time for the MSEP to start. I didn’t have it in my plans but there was a pretty good spot behind a stroller right in front of the Train Station so I stopped.

I decided that on this night I would take some short videos to send to my Mom. So I was taking pictures with one hand and videoing with the other here.

After the parade, I noticed that the back path behind Main Street was open so I took it so I could find a place in the Hub for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes. They had actually fixed the path up pretty nice since the last time I had walked it.

I made it to the Hub so quickly that the MSEP was still passing by and I had to wait a few minutes before finding a spot. Once I found a spot I proceeded to do a photo shoot starring the castle.

I wanted to do videos again for my Mom so I put my regular camera away and just keep my phone out. I had been pretty pleased with the Wishes photos I took earlier in the week plus I was planning on watching the show at least two more times. I figured I could get more pictures during those viewings.

First up a Celebrate the Magic video.

And then I took two videos during Wishes. Mom really enjoyed watching all of them that night.

I was finally hungry for some dinner and since I was near Tomorrowland, I headed to Cosmic Rays. Once again I ran into the main problem I have on solo trips, finding a table at Counter Services. I will admit I was a little bit rude. I saw a couple sitting at a two seater table and it was obvious they were done eating and just hanging out. I hovered over them until they noticed me and got up and left and I snagged the table.

I ordered my favorite meal here, the rotisserie chicken.

And chocolate cake for dessert.

It was pretty noisy in there so I couldn’t really enjoy Sonny Eclipse.

My meal was good, nothing out of this world but I enjoyed it. Of course I didn’t touch the green beans but that is due to my pickiness, I’m sure they were good.

Up Next: Night Time Wanderings in Magic Kingdom

I really enjoy MSEP but its quite dated and after seeing video of Paint the Night in Disneyland I would love to see something new. Hopefully for the 50th they do something.

I have yet to see the corridor they built but good pictures of it.

I love seeing the castle in lights that is one of my favorite things about Christmas time at WDW.

I love your pic by the train station--with that strategically placed snowflake, it looks like you've got a fabulous blingy ring on, too :)

The path around the back looks really nice compared to 2007 when we were there on NYE and had to walk literally backstage. Very unmagical.

Your pics of the parade and castle are beautiful!! Maybe this is my year where all the pics I take won't come out blurry!! :) I think I finally know how to work my camera....maybe.

Your dinner wasn't "out of this world"--I see what you did there, tomorrowland, out of this world. :rotfl:

Don't worry about not updating lately, we all get busy, I went weeks between updates on my TR's sometimes too when I was writing them

Beautiful pics of the Castle!! I really want to go down there sometime while it is lit up like that, so pretty!

Love all the MSEP pics, haven't seen that one in years, we missed it the last 2 trips and the one before that was still SpectroMagic :lovestruc (I miss that one)

I love that Rotisserie chicken meal at Cosmic Rays, it is really good and a good sized portion too. I do eat the green beans, though, LOL

Nice catching MSEP as you got to the park! Love the castle photos!

Thanks! I was not expecting to see the MSEP this trip so it was a pleasant surprise.

I am hoping to see the Paint the Night parade whenever we finally make it to DL. My only problem is that my Mom, brother and sister-in-law do not like parades so I might have to sneak away from them in order to catch it.

I could stand and stare at those Christmas lights for hours!

Totally did not see the "snowflake ring" until you pointed it out!

That path was definitely a lot nicer than previous times I've walked through there.

I get lucky sometimes with the photos. You should see all the ones I delete. The key for me is taking lots and lots of photos and hope I get a few nice ones.

I was wondering if anyone would catch my "out of this world" comment!

I really hate it when work gets in the way of my DIS time. LOL.

I hadn't really stopped to watch it in a few years myself. I saw Spectro once but didn't like the clowns plus I grew up with MSEP so it has a special place in my heart.

The rotisserie chicken at Cosmic Ray's isn't bad but my favorite version is at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot.

Yea! Your back :) Great night-time photos of the castle!

Thanks! I'm glad things have slowed down so I can start updating again.

Night Time Wanderings in Magic Kingdom Part 1

Moving right along! I want to get back on the schedule of updating this on on Thursdays and my other TR on Mondays so you get two installments on this one this week.

I like to start my night wanderings in MK in Adventureland so I crossed back over the HUB and got in line for Pirates.

I’m a magnet for these red cards!

I don’t have in my notes what the wait time was but it must not have been very long or I would have skipped it.

I headed to Fronterland next and got in line for BTMR which had a 10 minute wait.

I don’t walk through this line very often so I had fun with some pictures.

Next stop was Haunted Mansion. It was posted at a 13 minute wait which is usually code for walk on.
