I Can't Do That! I'd Be Too EmBEARassed! A Nov 2015 TR New PTR link 10/13!

Wow, you did stumble upon some rare characters! That is awesome! As if standing beside a half naked Tarzan is not awkward enough, right? LOL!

FLAMETREEEEEEEE!!!!! I need Disney, I need Disney SO MUCH!

The only one that I can't ride due to my motion sickness is Star Tours. I have to be careful with some of the others (EE is a one and done usually) but Star Tours is a definite no go.
I can't ride Star Tours, either, which is really sad. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and would love to ride it. I wish they had a "handicap" version for the motion sick crowd.

So I stopped and had a Mickey ice cream sandwich.
OMG - this is so good. We had a coupon for a free treat and decided to see what it tasted like, even though it was 59 degrees out and the ice cream sales person was freezing to death. It was really good. :)

Tarzan didn’t really interact with me too much at all. I know he’s supposed to not know English very well but he barely said two words to me.
He has a goofy expression on his face, too.

This next PP picture is one of my favorites from the whole trip. If I hadn’t gotten the Pluto one on the first day, this might have been the framer for the trip.
This turned out really nice. :)

And finally, I got this bobble head Pluto keychain. It's currently hanging from the handle of my work bag.
That is adorable. Pluto has a very different expression then he usually has.

I know he’s supposed to not know English very well but he barely said two words to me.

That's SO WEIRD!!! You would think after being so board and no one around he would have been loads of fun!

He was really cute and admired my Lion King gear.

I loved him SO SO MUCH!!!

this might have been the framer for the trip.

I still think you need to frame it.

I was so tired at this point that I ended up taking a bit of a nap on the ride.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Love everything!!! You had a great time too!!!

Ooooh, fun character meets!!!! Bummer that Tarzan didn't give you a good interaction :( but at least it's another one to put on your list!!!

Love all the treasures you purchased.

P.S. I just wanted to mention that I followed the link over to the story about Jim's Chickens from wherever you had posted it, and I absolutely LOVED the look back at your Honeymoon trip!! It's awesome how you recreated the whole trip just based on your receipts and things :) I can totally see myself doing that...if I ever get started on TRs. I think I'll have to wait till summer when being a teacher doesn't have me completely busy!! At least I can still sneak in my daily DIS time, like now, when my kids are in Gym class :)

Love the update!!
Obviously you know my feelilngs about folk! Lol, great pictures! And nice seats! Lol.
I did notice that the mousse was different at flame tree, I haven't been there at all recently, it was ALWAYS under reno or only open one day a week when I was at dak!

I just read the entire trip report in one sitting! How awesome that you got to meet so many fellow DISmembers. I loved the pictures of the fireworks and seeing AOA resort and the food reviews. I can't wait to read your latest TR.

Love the PP pics with Thumper ... really adorable! The character meet with Tarzan definitely sounds like it was awkward -- :thumbsup2 thumbs up for stopping to snag a picture.... the inner little girl in me would have turned beat red and high-tailed it out of there. LOL :)

Busy day at AK! Great ride photos both times through on EE.

A Mickey ice cream sandwich is a totally acceptable lunch! And love the pictures from FOTLK.

Thumper! What a lucky meet - he's so cute!!

FotLK is such a cute show. The monkeys are my favorite too.

That's so cool that you got to meet Thumper! I know he's a rare one.

They replaced the coleslaw with jalapeño corn bread. I never ate the coleslaw and unfortunately I didn’t care for the corn bread either. They also changed the mousse a bit, it used to come in a cup, but it was still as yummy as before.

Awww, I like the coleslaw too. Unfortunately, I hate corn bread :( I noticed they took the mousse out of the cup but I'm glad it still tastes the same. I'll miss Flame Tree this time, as DH wants to try Restaurantasaurus.

Love the FOTLK photos!

So cool that you stumbled upon Tarzan with no wait! Nice pictures, even if the interaction was strange.

Aw Thumper! Would love to meet him one day! The pics came out so cute.

That garbage can pin board is so cool!

Thanks, I got a few good pictures that day of FOLK.

IT was a pretty weird interaction but at least there was no wait. In January his line was always huge and we never got to see him.

I was excited to see Thumper since he's rarely out anymore.

A Mickey ice cream sandwich is always a good treat!

I love FOTLK it is my favorite show in WDW.

I liked checking out Zuris Sweet shop. I regret not getting one of the animal candy apples.

I don't think I have ever me Thumper. It looks like a nice meet. I saw Tarzan out when I was there but it just looked like a weird meet so I didn't do it.

A nap on Everest is always fun :P

I am noticing less vinylmations as well and as a collector of them that's kind of sad but I guess understandable.

I could use a Mickey ice cream sandwich right now!

I didn't buy anything at the sweet shop either but I should have.

Tarzan was a weird meet but I wanted to add him to my list so I went for it.

I'm so bummed that Disney is fazing out the Vinyls. I got in to them towards the end so I didn't get to trade much.

Wow, you did stumble upon some rare characters! That is awesome! As if standing beside a half naked Tarzan is not awkward enough, right? LOL!

FLAMETREEEEEEEE!!!!! I need Disney, I need Disney SO MUCH!

Tarzan is actually a regular meet now at AK but Thumper is not. And yes the whole half naked thing made the meet even more awkward!

I totally understand your need for Disney!

I can't ride Star Tours, either, which is really sad. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and would love to ride it. I wish they had a "handicap" version for the motion sick crowd.

That is adorable. Pluto has a very different expression then he usually has.

Oh, a non motion version of Star Tours would be awesome. I'm a huge fan too and hate having to skip it.

I always have to have at least one Mickey ice cream sandwich even if it's a colder trip!

Everything about the Tarzan meet was just weird.

That's SO WEIRD!!! You would think after being so board and no one around he would have been loads of fun!
I loved him SO SO MUCH!!!
I still think you need to frame it.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
Love everything!!! You had a great time too!!!

I thought it would be fun too but he was so weird. I did help them out a bit by telling people he was back there. A few families headed back after I left.

Thumper was just awesome and I was so glad to have an opportunity to meet him.

I did have a great time that afternoon despite being exhausted.

Yep, at least I can check Tarzan off the list. I definitely don't have a desire to meet him again though, just too awkward!

So glad you enjoyed the Honeymoon TR. It was interesting to go back and try to remember what we did since it was so long ago.

Love the update!!

I do know how much you love FOLK! I loved seeing your photos with the cast.

The mousse looks different but it really tasted the same. Bummer you haven't been able to eat there in a while.

I just read the entire trip report in one sitting! How awesome that you got to meet so many fellow DISmembers. I loved the pictures of the fireworks and seeing AOA resort and the food reviews. I can't wait to read your latest TR.

Wow! Thanks for joining in! DIS friends are the best that's for sure.

So glad you are enjoying everything.

The pictures with Thumper are definitely some of my favorite from the trip.

It was super awkward that's for sure but I was determined to get my photo.

Busy day at AK! Great ride photos both times through on EE.

A Mickey ice cream sandwich is a totally acceptable lunch! And love the pictures from FOTLK.

Thumper! What a lucky meet - he's so cute!!

We did have a busy day but crowds were light so that made it easy to do everything.

I think a Mickey ice cream sandwich is acceptable any time of day!

I was really excited to see Thumper out meeting.

FotLK is such a cute show. The monkeys are my favorite too.

I love those Tumble Monkeys and could watch them all day!

Thumper was so cute and I'm glad he was out that day.

I don't mind corn bread but I hate jalapenos so it was a no go for me.

A Tour of All Star Music

I exited AK around 4 pm but I didn’t go straight to the buses. Instead I stopped by the AK Christmas tree for some Photopass Pictures. I seem to have been stuck on the one hand on my hip pose this trip.

The PP photographer was awesome and I got three magic shots.

And an awesome moving magic shot (click below).

Then I finally headed to the buses. I must have caught one pretty quickly because I was back in my room by 4:45 pm. And that was after a quick stop at the food court to pick up a snack for later. My original plan for the evening was going to be Disney Springs but I really needed a rest at this point. Since I was planning on getting into my PJs ASAP, I didn’t want to go back out for something to eat later.

When I arrived back at the room, Pluto and Stitch(s) were behaving themselves.

So what wholesome snack did I pick up for my dinner?

Yep, a massive chocolate cupcake! All thoughts of a healthy snack went down the drain when I spotted that baby. I did have some cereal and fishy crackers back in the room that I brought with me and thought I might eat also.

I basically put my cupcake in the fridge and turned around and went back out the door. I really wanted to get some pictures of the back half of All Star Music and I knew if I sat down for even a second I wouldn’t get back up.

Here’s a map of the resort for reference.

As you can see, the resort is long and skinny towards the front but branches out in the back. I was in Jazz Inn building 9 and my room was on the back of the main wing almost exactly were the #9 is. Calypso buildings 1 and 10 are the preferred buildings for this resort. The previous time I stayed at Music I was in building 2 and never set foot past the Jazz Inn section. So I started my tour with the Broadway Hotel.

I loved how the area down the middle looked like an actual street complete with street signs.

Next I headed to Country Fair.

Totally different feel to this area with trees and cacti down the center of the two buildings.

There was even a Hidden Mickey on the big boots.

Next, Rock Inn.

I think my husband Jim would feel right at home in this section.

The Piano Pool is right in the middle of those three sections. As you can see on the map this pool is Piano shaped and the Calypso Pool is guitar shaped.

Finally I took a few more pictures of my area, the Jazz Inn.

One final picture out of my door to show the golf carts in the turn around. This was probably my only small complaint about my location. I could hear these golf carts delivering suitcases at all hours of the night. But after the first few nights I was able to tune them out.

When I made it back to my room, I changed into my PJs and then spent the rest of the night relaxing. I caught up on my journal which is essential to TR writing. I talked to both my husband and my Mom on the phone for a bit. Mo had given me the photo card she received from Enchanted Tails with Belle so I loaded that onto our Memory Maker account. I was going to call about my Can Can photos but I decided to just try one more time to add them to my account and it worked! Not sure why the CM could not load them the previous day but they were there now so I didn’t have to call. I ate some crackers and my cupcake and headed to bed around 9:30. It felt really good to spend a few hours off of my feet!

I traded for three pins during this day.

Oh and I opened my Vinylmations. While I was lucky enough to get a Pluto one, the other three were all Donald! I used to not mind duplicates because you could trade them in the parks but now there isn’t much to do with them. After this trip I pretty much quit buying the blind boxes. Now I just purchase the ones I want off of eBay after someone else has opened them.

Great pictures with the tree! I love the AK tree.

That's quite the cupcake.

Great pictures of All star music. I've stayed at sports and I think movies but never music. This was before I was 6 so I don't remember much of anything.

Love all the magic shots you got. I've never seen the troll one before!

I liked seeing all your resort pictures. The Broadway section looks cute.

Sounds like a well needed night of rest!

What a bummer getting 3 Donalds! Hate when stuff like that happens.

Great tour of ASM! It's bigger than I have imagined. I never realized they had so many various sections. I definitely like the Broadway section.... the themeing is spot-on with those play bill boards and the NYC streets. Thanks for sharing... It's always great to get some insight into a resort that we've never been too.

I like your photo tour of All Star Music. Broadway Street looks real. My daughter stayed in the building with the big cowboy boots and was just about as far from the food court as you can get. She had only stayed at deluxe resorts as a kid, so this was her first value experience. She was fine with it except for the long walk to the main building. Have you stayed at any of the other value resorts?

Three of the same Donald??? Goodness! Sp glad that you DID get the Pluto. That would have been beyond frustrating if you did not!

Love the photos of ASMu! It was our first on property vacation home. Many memories made there, including a day spent at the pool with friends I had not seen since high school. (I grew up down there, and they still live there). ASMu will always hold a special place in my heart.

great update!! Love that you took the time to explore music! the broadway section is my favorite!
Bummer about the vinyls, I totally didn't even think about that when it comes to buying them now! I was never really into trading them in the parks until steven gave me a couple to trade with that he had doubles of, it was just the excitement of blind trading that was fun!

Thanks for the tour of All Star Music! I've never stayed there. Though I wish you would have thrown a devil horn selfie in there outside the Rock Inn :)

Bummer about the three Donald vinyls, but so glad you were able to get your favorite dog in the process!!!

Fun magic shots! The animated one with the trolls is really cute. We love those trolls from Frozen!

That cupcake looks huge! But so good! The perfect way to end your night.

I love the pictures of All Star Music. I think I like the theme of the Broadway section the best. I like the street in front and movie posters - great touches!
