I Can't Do That! I'd Be Too EmBEARassed! A Nov 2015 TR New PTR link 10/13!

While I do love Celebrate the Magic, Magic, Memories and You is still my favorite. Just standing in that hub with people all around you, everyone wondering if any photos of them or their loved ones would appear. Simply MAGICAL!

I WISH they still did that. Now it's just a projections show... BUT it is AMAZING!!! I just posted pictures of it today!

Nice pictures of CTM, you got a good spot for both shows! :)

Thanks. I was pretty pleased with the pictures this time.

This is a beautiful shot! Your wishes pictures turned out really well. I can't wait to watch this for the first time.

Thanks, I love seeing the castle with all the lights on it!

Your castle pics are GORGEOUS!! The nice thing about flying solo must have been being able to get a great spot in the midst of all those crowds!!!

Thanks! Yep, that's definitely one of the advantages of being solo, I'm able to weave my way into a better spot.

You know what... IASW is growing on me... I avoided it for several trips - because I was scared the music would stay with me all day... but I rode it with Suzi and Bradey - and it was fine. So, I made Allison ride it and we were fine. So, I think it's going to become a non-avoid ride now... Not necessarily a "must do" but ...

Love your castle photos - it looks beautiful from the front... We saw it from the Tomorrowland bridge - and that was a great location too. ::yes::

D~

It's a must do for me at least once a trip. I can't remember exactly but I think I rode it three times during this November trip. Yep, I am that crazy!

I've watched Wishes from all over the park but I still love that view from the front!

So many good pictures! I really love the projections for celebrate the magic.

Thanks! I love CTM too!

Let me help you:

You mean that spawn of Satan?!?

Your Pictures of the show are remarkable!!!

Ha! I'm pretty sure it was this exact photo that made me look for these guys and try to get a photo of my own. I had never noticed them before!

Oh my goodness, I've never noticed this super creepy dude on IASW!!!!!! That's hysterical.... haha :)

I hadn't either until I saw that picture in one of Mo's previous TRs. It's the whole reason I've been trying to get a picture of my own.

Joining in late but just binge-read the whole TR so far :)

Hi and welcome! Thanks for joining in.

I love IASW. too!!! My family? Not so much... :-(

Man, I remember when it was first announced that Disney was going to do a show projected onto the castle...it was the strangest thought. What a success it has been!

If you can believe it, I never saw MMMY so I have nothing to compare CTM to. I think MMMY might have been showing the first couple of years I started going back but I never took the time to watch it.

I WISH they still did that. Now it's just a projections show... BUT it is AMAZING!!! I just posted pictures of it today!

Saw your pictures! Now it's time to post my Wishes ones!

Wishes and Saying Goodbye Part 1

I wasn’t kidding when I said I took a ton of Wishes photos. I’m going to try to sort through them a bit and post the best ones. But I like a lot of them so it will be hard to choose!

Wishes and Saying Goodbye Part 2

OK, so I didn’t narrow them down as much as I thought I would, just too many good ones!

I stood where I was for a bit when the show was over, letting everyone else dash for the exit. I got a text from Suzi and D saying that they were going to take the back path to Tomorrowland for one last spin on the TTA. I was planning on heading out after the show because I was a bit tired at this point. But this was their last night and I really wanted to see them again. I said I would meet them by the entrance to the TTA and started some more of my fancy dipping and dodging to make it to them. I was seriously swimming upstream for a while but once I made it to Cosmic Ray’s I cut through the restaurant and out the other side. I guess I was moving pretty fast because I beat them to the TTA. That was OK because I needed to sit for a minute and catch my breath! D, Suzi and Bradey showed up along with Bernadette and the five of us rode the TTA. Then we headed slowly out of Tomorrowland and towards the exit. I took a picture of Stitch to remind myself not to ride this one again!

We stopped again to get a few more pictures of the castle.

As we rounded the corner towards Main Street we ran smack into Tom! Mo and the Gang were still in the FP area for Wishes so we stopped there so she could also say goodbye to D and Suzi. One more picture of all of us was taken. I borrowed this off of someone’s Facebook page so not my picture and I can’t remember who actually took it but it was most likely Tom.

After tears and hugs, we all headed out of the park. We split in different directions and I found the All Star Music line which was still pretty long. I ended up getting on the third bus but they came one after the other so it wasn’t too bad. I was back in my room and in bed by 11 pm after washing my hair to get the chili dog smell out.

I traded for three pins on this day and also made a pressed quarter in Tomorrowland. D, Suzi and Bradey it was so much fun spending time with you guys! I sincerely hope we can do it again someday.

So many wonderful Wishes pictures! I love that you were able to catch the projections, like the hearts and the magic mirror, so clearly!

A spin on the TTA with your friends sounds like a great way to end the night. Love the group photo.

Great pictures! It looks like you stood relatively close to where I did when I watched wishes in January. I like that spot.

The TTA is always fun.

That's nice that you saw them before they left.

Nice pin trades as well!

Awww... Loved seeing your Wishes photos too... One day - I need to make a point to get over my claustrophobia and enjoy them from the FRONT of the castle. ::yes::

Loved seeing you too, my friend... It was great spending as much time as we could together... I hope we are able to do it again some day, and hopefully spend more time together. :lovestruc

D~

Those photos of Wishes are FANTASTIC! Great job! Ohhhh, I cannot wait to be "home" again.

TTA is a great last ride to have with your Dis-friends!

I think Small World is a love/hate thing...and I love it! I think the hippo is hilarious too!

Great spot for CTM and Wishes! I really love CTM. You got some great pictures - I especially like the Christmas overlay! And there are lots of Wishes pictures but they are all great!

A ride on the TTA is a great way to end the night! And so great that you got to spend time with so many great friends!

Seriously those pictures are the best!!!! WAY TO GO! I need to go back and use my Point and shoot since my Woobie isn't doing them justice!

It was so hard saying goodbye to the girls.. and I DESPISE that picture of me.. I look like i am 4 months pregnant with the triplets again..

Just a little pixie dust that you were all able to see each other one more time before Suzi and D had to leave. How awesome! :wizard:

I have pretty much given up trying to take pictures during Wishes. I am pretty confident it's all me and not my camera's fault, but I always come away with garbage. I LOVE looking at your pics and Mo's too. Something to aspire to, I guess :)

Whew, all caught up again. Your Wishes pictures are absolutely spectacular. I am loving the fact that you got to spend so much time with your Dis friends. They really are the best!

That's the first time I've gotten clear shots of the projections so I was very pleased with the photos.

I do like that spot I just wish I was a tiny bit more centered. Next time!

I was so happy to get to see my friends one more time and share one last ride with them.

The front is definitely the best place to watch them. I guess the crowds don't bother me because I'm so tall and I can see over them. Of course if it's a hot day it can get a little um, smelly with all the bodies pressed together. :rotfl:

Yep definitely love/hate with IASW. Although I will say that Jim is kind of in between. Doesn't outright hate it but probably wouldn't choose to ride it without me.

Thanks, I think photos from both shows turned out great from that night.

Well I do have a pretty high end point and shoot that does well in low light. My previous camera didn't do nearly as well.

Thanks! I had a wonderful time with everyone on this trip.

Breakfast With Mo and the Gang

Tuesday November 17, 2015 was day number five for me. I had been going non-stop so far and was pretty tired and sore when I rolled out of bed at 5:30 am. But I had an important pre-park breakfast to get to so I was out the door by 6:50 am.

I’m not sure if I just missed a bus but the board at the bus stops said the next bus would be coming at 7:20 am. I was a little worried because our breakfast ADR was at 8:05 am and I didn’t want to be late. I texted Mo to let her know about the bus situation. I kept watching the board and it changed to 7:26 then to 7:15. Finally it settled on 7:17 and that is when the bus came. I’m not sure if I like the new boards or not. I couldn’t decide if it was more stressful not knowing or watching the time change constantly!

Since we were right around the corner from AK it didn’t take long to get there and I still made it with time to spare. I took this picture of the new Avatar theater as we entered the bus stop area.

Of course I drank too much water that morning and had to make a quick restroom stop before getting in the breakfast ADR line. Mo and the Gang arrived shortly after and we waited till right before 8 am to be let in for our breakfast. I took a picture of the Christmas decorations and the Avatar construction while we waited.

We headed straight to Tusker House to check in but I had to pause for one second for this picture.

We checked in and were seated almost immediately and then headed up to the buffet.

I definitely go for the plain foods for breakfast. On my plate I have Mickey waffles, potatoes, tater tots, scrambled eggs and of course a banana.

I also drank large quantities of the juice which is delicious!

Zack decided to make a breakfast sandwich using Mickey waffles and I had to take a picture of him trying to get the thing into his mouth.

Donald came to visit first.

I of course have to have pictures with all the characters so Mo took them for me.

Mickey was next.

I went back and got some more Mickey waffles, I love them!

Goofy stopped by, he is tall!

And finally Daisy.

The kids got some birthday cupcakes and cards from the characters.

Zack didn’t want his cupcake so for some reason he decided to smash it in his face. I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard in my life.

Matt and Meg got up and paraded around with the characters. I think Zack was in the bathroom at that time washing the cupcake off his face.

Overall it was a wonderful meal with great friends. Everything I ate was yummy and we laughed and had a great time with the characters.

By the time we finished it was about 9:15 am and the line for the safari was posted at 30 minutes. I’m pretty sure it didn’t take that long to get through the line. I sat in one row with Matt and the other four were behind us.

I was in the middle and on the wrong side for most of the photo opportunities but I did get a few.

I love the Christmas decor at AK!

That picture of the steel structure you took of avatar is now covered in concrete and is looking like a mountain. What a difference a couple months makes!

Tucker House is probably my favorite AK restuarant and I've only done breakfast there. I don't blame you I love Mickey waffles too.

Despite not being in the best spot on the safari you got some good photos. I don't know if I've ever had a giraffe that close on a safari I've been on.

I just love AK!!! It's my favorite park... Did you know - they opened AK on the day Allison was born? It's no wonder it's our favorite... :scratchin Kindred spirits. ::yes::

I can't believe how much you were able to zoom in to see the Avatar floating island thingy... I kept trying to squint my eyes every time we went past it via bus (we did it a lot too - living at AKL that week)... but I could never quite get a good enough glimpse of it. Can't wait to see it when it's finished!

Love TH - I really do... It's still one of my favs for nostalgic reasons - it looks like you all had a great time! :woohoo:

And the safari... Yah - no morning at AK is complete with out breakfast at TH - a ride on the Safari and then on to EE to ride until you throw up (or a person loses a nail) - which ever comes first. ::yes::

Can't wait to hear more!

D~

Wow - just read this from the beginning (didn't read ALL the comments lol) really enjoying it. You have some great photos. I have to ask (sorry if it's been asked already) where did you get your bags - they are AMAZING!!

Sounds like a great breakfast at Tusker House. Love the character pictures! And you still got some nice KS shots!

Yum! The Tusker House buffet breakfast is one of our favs too -- the selections are great and that juice is just out of this world :)
