A "cruise information and planning guide" which basically consists of copies of all the navigators from this family's cruise and various other handouts they received on their trip. They are selling it for $12.99....why would someone buy this?

The thing that really gets me though? The seller is listed as billandsonia which I find really offensive as my husband's name is Bill and I am Sonya and I would hate for somebody to think that we were doing this.

Anyway, I guess someone will buy just about anything...

by the way Barb & Tony, I do have a set of 4 day navigators with the freeport stop for you guys. I will email them as soon as my husband gets around to scanning them.....Oh, should I be charging $12.99??? Just kidding, LOL!

I seem to see those on ebay from time to time. I'm not sure if its the same persons though. It would never occur to me to do that, but maybe that's why I work for a living. lol ..... In a way they do help people who have no idea about this board and other websites like Barb and Tony's, and Dave's.

I got a set of 4-night cruise Nav's with the Freeport stop scanned and put in a MS Word file for each day's navigator. But, its from June 16, 2002. Anyone want it I'll e-mail. Just know that they are somewhat large files.

I have seen the auction you are talking about many times in the past. They know that what they are doing is wrong because the make the buyers' names private so no one can email them and warn them that they are buying something they could get for free. If I remember correctly, those navs. are from Feb., so they would be relatively useless anyway. It's sad that some people would stoop so low...oh well, I guess it's at least half step above stealing money from someone, since you're at least getting SOMETHING. Send us the navs. and we'll start charging for access to my website and cut you in on the profits.

I checked their auction history, and they have listed a couple of these in the past month, but none have sold. So right now, they're just paying Ebay listing fees. Diana

Think of how many more cruises you and Tony could take though if you really did that! *laugh*

I always wondered if anyone got the unlimited Internet access pass on the 7 day cruise and then tried listing things in the gift shop to see if they sold. You could do a three-day auction, then buy the item only if it sold. Of course, that would involve someone using their cruise for work and I can't imagine ANYONE wanting to do that!!!

<b>"....why would someone buy this?"</b>

I think that's the question!! If people keep buying, they'll keep selling.

I've also seen the DCL paper luggage tags on e-bay. Along with the the hotel soaps, shampoo, etc. I can't believe people pay for this free stuff! Now if it were the lotion from the ship I might have considered it....LOL...just kidding, but that stuff is GREAT!!!!

DisneyKids said it best....

Not that I would but there are a lot of people out there that would be grateful to BUY these things.

I can't tell you how many people I know personally that are totally 'computer surfing challenged" .
They can't/won't open more than one browser at a time.

I know one that if you speak to him while his is on the computer - he shuts the whole thing down before he answers you because he saya he can't do both at the same time.

So these people don't have a prayer of trying to download a pdf file and print it out.

They are grateful for anyone who has done it and is willing to send it them for a nominal fee - better still if its the original.

It's sad how many people don't do any research before their trips. They miss so much.

I research every trip even with the number of times we have gone and we do something new and different each time. It just adds to the "MAGIC'.

We leave in 13 days !!!!!!!! - I'm packing.

I love the ones that list the "Travel Agent" guide. It is the same brochure that Disney sends anyone for free. That kills me and it kills me that people bid on it and it sold for $5. I have a box of them under my desk. I am sitting on a gold mine!
