We have never been to DL. We have been to WDW at least 19 times since 1997. We have our first trip to DL booked for early June after my husband runs the San Diego Marathon. We're staying at the GF for three nights and touring the Southwest US on our way out and back. This should be a great trip.
Yesterday my husband said to me that he really, really, really wants to do the DL 1/2 marathon in Sept. So we thought it over and we now have plane flights in and out, shuttle service to DL from the airport and four nights at Paradise Pier. I can hardly believe it. His best running buddy also decided he needed to go, so he and his family are also going. We're all flying together out there and he told Disney that it would be great for his family and ours to be close to each other since we are both staying at the same resort.
Both of our families stayed together in WDW in January for the Goofy Challenge and we all stayed in an OKW two bedroom (we're DVC members). We had such a great time, I know we will have fun again.
Topper to this whole scenario??? We have a week at WDW for Thanksgiving planned as well. And we have a 25th wedding anniversary to celebrate in March, so we're thinking about the Disney cruise in March or April depending on when our son has spring break.
Life is great.
