I cant Believe this happened again --- can I vent?

I think it's risky to book a small airline like Allegiant. They can close up at a moment's notice and don't have any interline agreements to move you to another airline. Midwest has an agreement with Delta, so they are more stable.

I agree with you -- but trying for the convenience of the small airport up the road is pretty cool -- also DH was super excited for our first ever direct flight.

I dont know why they cancelled the flights, but was told by the agent to book another flight.

And Midwest is a partner with Delta -- but if it wouldnt have been for this board I would have never known the flight was cancelled. They did not automatically move my flight to Delta and did not notify me that the flight was cancelled until weeks atfer last year. If I didnt know, I would have been without a flight --but I was paying attention and got a great flight.

Midwest's agreement with Delta started in March of this year.

I think the bottom line is everyone should check their flight status at least weekly. I posted another thread about my Delta flight in December got changed several times recently. They never sent me a notification. I was on top of it and called and got switched to flights that turned out to be better than the original. I also have a trip to Disneyland in September, I checked my USAir flights yesterday and instead of a 45 min layover in PHX on the way home, it's now 3 1/2 hours! And there's no alternative! Ugh! No notification on that one either.

Allegiant Air has cancelled all flights to Orlando during the months of October and November.

Where did you get your information? I'm considering using Allegiant from Hagerstown, MD in November, and their website still shows flights available.

Allegiant did that to me last year. We were flying from our hometown to Ft. Lauderdale for a cruise but they cut the route totally. They did schedule me on other flights but I had to drive to Rockford to get to Ft. Lauderdale and then after my cruise I had to drive from Ft. Lauderdale to Sanford to get back to my hometown. This year they cut the Sanford route completely, therefore I'm driving to Indy for a direct flight with Southwest for $58 each way. I could have flown to Sanford from Rockford but with all the fees with Allegiant it was cheaper to go Southwest.
