We just booked a last minute August vacation. With free dining I definitely thought we'd be locked out of any of our favorites. Although we had to be flexible with regard to times, we got nearly everything we would have booked at 180 day mark...

Crystal Palace breakfast
Wolfgang Puck Cafe dinner
Coral Reef... had to settle for late lunch
Kona Cafe dinner
50's Prime Time... had to settle for lunch
1900 Park Fare dinner

The only major risk we are taking is a dinner at Tony's. I know it gets bad reviews, but we really enjoyed a lunch there on our last trip.

All in all we are thrilled:cheer2:. We feel lucky to be going and our luck continued with our ADRs.

Congratulations--great job. Last year for our last minute decision trip, we also got Crystal Palace for breakfast (and LeCellier for lunch). It never hurts to try.

Good for you:):cloud9: I would really think about Tony's for dinner though!

REALLY???? :confused3:sad2::confused3:sad2:

There are pretty slim-pickins for us... Tony's is about the only place we can get a dinner ADR... we have compromised and taken lunch on a few already. We would like to enjoy down time at a full service place for dinner at least a few times during our trip.

you give me hope! I just booked a last minute trip too! So far I only have 2 booked! UGH!!

Just got back last week- and made changes last minute and was surprised how much was still available! It was easy to see online!

I would recommend trying Kouzinas for dinner- I would have eaten there every night if I could!!! I have been there twice and every thing has been wonderful- we went there for a Sunday night dinner and it was not very crowded.

Enjoy!!!

I have eaten at Tony's despite the sometimes bad reviews, we loved it...you really won't know until you eat there. Great job getting the reservations...have a great trip.

Give Tony's a try. We ate there a couple of years ago and LOVED it. It was voted our 2nd fave meal of the week (behind lunch at LeCellier). Strangely, none of us ordered tomato-sauce based dishes. My DH had steak, I had salmon and I forget what DD ordered.

We ate outside in the glass patio and the parade came by as we were eating, which only added to the fun.

Good for you! We switched our trip to the very end of August last night and with the exception of O'Hana and Chef Mickeys I got absolutely everything I wanted, at decent times, with plenty fo choices available.
To give a comparison, I was originally booked for the first week of December and I had a much harder time finding anything as we booked late.
Go figure!:confused3

Good for you!:woohoo:

As for dinner at Tony's, if you enjoyed a meal there last trip, then you should enjoy a meal there on this trip, right?:flower3: I have learned on these boards that bad reviews may not always guarantee a bad meal. We have tried several places with bad reviews and liked them, and vice versa. Good luck.:goodvibes
