I can't believe he said yes! We conquered June! the end...9.10.10

OKAY -- here's the QUESTION!! All that being said, what resort do you think you are more likely to stay at ... the VERY next time you go? popcorn::

Because I am thinking, Tink...that you will probably start a PTR soon. ;)

...I'm gonna!!! C'mon... :hourglass

Somehow I missed the last few updates. I've been following along but never suscribed? Who knows?

Anyway, your last day looks relaxing. I would love to visit the Titanic museum.

CSR looks so relaxing. Those beds look so inviting. It was on my list of places to stay next trip until we drove by last trip and DH saw it. We caught a glimpse from the street and DH said he didn't like it:confused3 It looks like New Mexico or something.

I have never been to Ghiradelli. I admit it. It is one of my must do's for whenever we go back.

So sad that the trip has come to an end. I hate it when that happens. :sad2:

The VERY next time?? Well, that depends on a couple of factors (like when we go and who goes because I am hoping my parents are able to go along with us!). But it will be either POR/POFQ or POP. I say POFQ because some of the pictures I have seen on other's TRs look inviting and I can still walk to POR. But I have a list this long (--------------------) of other resorts I want to try in the future!! :rotfl2:

Oh, I want to start a new one sooooo bad!! I am hoping (maybe) in a few months.....uhm, but more on that later!! ;)

I have been in the same boat before! I think I am subscribed or I accidentally unsubscribe but then I realize I have missed tons of posts!!

CSR definitely made me think of New Mexico/Arizona and I had seen it from the street last year on my way to ASSports (which I DID NOT like!!) and thought I wouldn't like it. But I was glad I got the chance to go. I would go back again to stay but not a 1st choice!

Oh, you definitely need to try Ghiradelli's!!! :woohoo:

It is so sad when they come to an end....especially since several I have been following are all ending along with mine! :sad1::sad1::sad1:

The Long Road Home and Favorites!!
Absolutely nothing exciting happened on the ride home…it was the standard load up and head out! We left by 8:30 am and were home at 6pm. Thankfully the weather was good and no traffic hang ups! I wrote about the trip (so I wouldn’t forget anything about this trip for the TR!!) and fought to stay awake all the way home! I was so happy Keith was able to drive without any problems! Pretty boring, huh??

One funny story happened. We stopped at Burger King somewhere in Florida and a couple began talking to us. They mentioned a little bitty town in Louisiana not far from my hometown. Just so happens that through the conversation, we found out my cousin married their nephew! It IS a Small World after all!!!

So that pretty much wraps up the whole wonderful trip…the good, the bad and the ugly. And I feel so blessed that it was almost all GOOD! Now some final thoughts on what made this trip so wonderful! (In no particular order and weird picture sizes...I don't know what happens to these things!)

My Favorites:
Of course I have to begin with…the birds!! I will always remember these birds since this was the place where Keith made the decision that we remain at Disney for the remainder of our trip and not go to St. Augustine!!

Port Orleans Riverside….I love :lovestruc this resort and I must say I do not regret making the decision to upgrade! If it had not been for the 40% military discount on resorts, I never would have considered the switch from POP! Looking back, I can’t imagine why I made it such an ordeal in deciding what to do! POR has so many positives but best of all was the boat to DTD! It was quiet also which was really nice and relaxing after a long day in the parks. My other reason for not wanting to stay here was the theming since it is so much like my real home….but I think I definitely now consider POR my home too! Future trips will surely be difficult in deciding where to stay since I love POR so much but I still want to experience some of the other places!! Some of my favorite pictures of POR:

Snow White!! Of course!! Remember…I ran to her! She was so awesome and I am glad my first official Snow White meeting was one to remember…no matter what your age. That is what makes Disney such a magical place!! But this mornign I realized...I did nto get MY picture taken with her!! Goal for next trip!!

Getting some one-on-one time with Madison as we toured Toontown for (most likely) the final time. Madison first came here at 4 years of age and it holds so many memories for her….well what she can remember from being 4!
The characters!! I love me some Disney characters!! And Character Meals!! I can’t wait to get to experience even more of these!!

Riding Expedition Everest 4 times with little or no wait!! AWESOME!!! I love this ride along with my other favorites!

Seeing DeVine and not even trying to find her!

Experiencing Coronado Springs Resort. This was one resort I didn’t think I would ever care about staying at but in the end it is absolutely beautiful and the pool is very cool!!

Nightastic and Main Street Electrical Parade…..okay, just no words do it justice……..

And finally, building memories to last a lifetime with my family! I love them all dearly!!

And, my favorite meals!

Favorite Character Meal:

I really liked Tusker house but there is still something special at Ohana! (Besides being in the Poly!!!)

Favorite Table Service Meal:
IMG_4615.jpg

It is loud here but we had so much fun! Obviously since we went twice (and I know it technically isn’t Disney owned but it is on Disney property!)

Favorite Counter Service
IMG_5090.jpg

By far our favorite place for counter service is Columbia Harbour House at the Magic Kingdom. Yummy!!!

There are so many more favorite rides and experiences but then I would just be re-writing the whole Trip Report

So the story of this trip is now closing :sad1:… where will the road lead us next? Well, I hope to begin planning a new trip very soon. Who am I kidding?? I have itineraries and ADRs planned for about 5 trips!! Stressed? Just plan a trip!! But I hope to make it official within a few months…a lot depends on the road life takes us (well doesn’t it always?). But I am definitely hoping for a Christmas 2011 trip and if that doesn’t work out, it will probably be May/June 2011 with Memorial Day being on the tail end. I tried to talk Keith into going for the International Wine and Food Festival but too much is happening right now at home….the kids stay too busy. I think I need to remove them from activities so I can get my Disney trips in! :rotfl2: So hopefully a PTR will be in the works by the end of the year!! :goodvibes

Thank you everyone for going on this journey with me! You all have made the remembering and posting such a joy! I am glad someone somewhere suggested I do a PTR! And for all of you lurkers (because I know you are out there, I was one for over one year!) thanks for reading along!!!

And, now I am off to read about all of my DIS friend’s adventures!!!

And they all lived happily ever after..............

Great ending!

I love all of your favorites. POR is :cloud9:. I was hesitant to book it b/c the theme really didn't appeal to me but I ended up just going for it. I am so glad we did. You can't really tell how great it is by looking at the pictures.

:thumbsup2 We loved the characters and character meals. I am torn if I want to try new ones next trip or repeat the ones that I really loved?

I haven't tried T-rex or Columbia Harbor House but they are on the list of must tries next time.

Ohana breakfast is great!

Thanks for sharing your trip with us!:cheer2:

Well I shall miss the TR. I enjoyed following along and look forward to more on your next trip.

Thanks! See..I told you I wasn't copying you! :rotfl: We just like the same things! :thumbsup2 POR was so wonderful and I am glad I didn't judge it before giving it a shot!

I love the character meals! I plan to add Akershus, 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace to my list to get more variety in the characters, but ohana is definitely my favorite so far!!

Well I shall miss the TR. I enjoyed following along and look forward to more on your next trip.

I am so glad you enjoyed it! I loved sharing it! I hope to have a new one relatively soon! :goodvibes

I'm too silly. The end of a TR always makes me teary! I loved that you went through your favorites at the end. I've added T Rex and POR to my "try this someday!" list, thanks to your TR. :goodvibes It was a fun read & I hope your family makes it back soon! Thanks for sharing your trip!

What a great ending to a TR! Brought tears to my eyes, I hate the end. I hope you get to do another trip sooner than later, would love to read all about it.:goodvibes

A great ending to a great trip! It was so enjoyable following along and almost crossing paths a few times. I'll be looking forward to your next trip report hopefully in the not too far future.

I am with you on the end of TRs! I always get sad when someone's TR comes to an end!! I am so happy I had a positive influence on new things to try and I hope when you do, you will find you enjoy them as much as we did!! :goodvibes

Thank you! Endings are always so sad, but I am hoping to start a new beginning soon!! The "when" is my only hold back right now!

Thanks for all the pictures OP

You are welcome!! :yay:

Thank you very much! We probably did come close to crossing paths and never even knew it! I hope I get to start one soon too!! I am so ready!! :)

I loved the favorites. My girls were asking today if we could go back to POR soon. I want to try somewhere else next trip, but I would REALLY miss that boat ride to DTD!

I really have to agree about the ELP being a highlight. It was a combination of the artistry and nostalgia of it that really can't be surpassed by anything new.

I think you have me convinced to try the Ohana breakfast. It really looks like fun.

I have loved following your planning and your trip. I hope we both get to do it again really soon!

Awww i'm sad to see your TR come to an end, it was so well done!

I definitely agree about CHH being the best counter service...we ate their twice on our trip at the end of August and the food was fantastic.

Hopefully it works out for you guys to go back next year:goodvibes

I have been plotting returning so much! The beginning of school is so stressful that I need a vacation and POR would be just the ticket! I agree though! I am so torn on where to stay! I loved/adored POR but I am the typw that loves to try different things so I would also like to stay somewhere else but that boat ride was so great!

You really need to try Ohana! It was so good!

It is sad that the TRs are coming to an end! I hope we get to start new ones soon! I am saving pennies right now!! :yay:
