I can't be the only person who's embarrassed myself like this....

I have a really strange talent for playing pool. I'm not really sure where it comes from, I've never had a pool table nor do I have any other sporting ability. For some reason I'm just pretty good (for a girl!).

I beat BF easily recently, so was feeling pretty good....

Went to the pub last night and BF's male friends were playing pool, so I thought 'ok...time to show them my skills'.....so I asked to play and of course got looked at like I was crazy....but they let me play.

No prizes for guessing what happened next...I played terribly, I could barely hold the cue. I spent the rest of the might being totally ridiculed and patronised. I kept arguing 'I honestly am good at pool, I just got nervous...' all I got were patronising looks and 'sure you are sweety'.....


GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR....anyone else had a similar thing happen?

I swear I have an excellent sense of direction. I can get from point A to point B with just intuition sometimes. So, of course, the one time I was leading a convoy of family members to someplace - I can't even remember where anymore - I got us all lost. They wouldn't stop teasing me for years.
