I Can! I Can Stink at 9am! A January TR - 3/8 New TR Link!

For that video I used my iPhone. I rarely got to use my GoPro :sad2: I ordered the stick that you sent the link to, but I ordered it on a Sunday, 3 days before we left. I used Amazon Prime 2 Day shipping and didn't receive it until the day after we left:headache: And the camera is so little it's so hard to hold. I do have some video though that i'll show!

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get the stick in time for your trip. You would have enjoyed using it where you are able to get those selfies. I will still look forward to see some of the video that you did get during the trip.

That is neat that you were able to meet a DISer during your trip. It is great to meet somebody on the boards during your visit.

DTD is so big and it can take a while to get from one place to another. That is great that you were able to meet your aunt and her husband during the trip.

The Raglan Road looks like a very nice place to eat at DTD. I remember reading from PiO and Alison TR's that they went there back in 2013 and recommended this place to eat. Do you recommend this place as well?

You snuck in another update while I was responding to the first one. :rotfl:

You got great seats for Raglan Road, and so glad that DS enjoyed the dancing.

Aren't those scallops wonderful? I could go for a batch right now. I was underwhelmed with my fish & chips last time, but Mark enjoyed the Bangers as well. And that bread pudding...well he finishes that one all on his own.

How cute that DS wants the little girl to hold him, and your DH had me :rotfl2: on his comment about the dancer in the video.

Sorry you didn't find the charm, but :thumbsup2 for your bus pulling up as you got there.

The scallops are delicious i'm so glad that we ordered them! Had it not been for the DIS, I probably would have overlooked them.

And you're right on about the F&C. I thought they were better over at the Yorkshire Fish Shop at the UK Pavilion :thumbsup2 What do you get there that you enjoy? Because another visit is definitely in our future.

DS has a thing for the ladies...that he inherited from his father as you can tell by DH's reaction to the ladies :lmao:

You replied at the exact same time I posted Raglan Road! :lmao: My you're fast, Kathy!

I wasn't expecting two updates. :lmao:

I think i've seen you and either her TR's or FB posts or both! They are both so so nice and so fun and easy to talk to.

They sure are.

Uh-oh are you a Bears fan?!

If I have to admit it yes; but then I have lived in Chicago area all 57 years of my life. Now I say I'm a Colts fan as my daughter-in-law is one and the Bears are so pathetic. But I was cheering for the Packers because I don't like the Seahawks either...the lesser of two evils. ;)

Doesn't she look amazing! My grandmother (her mother) is going to be 97 this year and she looks great too. Good genes that I hopefully have!

She does look amazing! Wow....on your grandmother.

I was really bummed that I didn't get it in time. Especially for group shots where there was no PP photographer around.

That is neat that you were able to meet a DISer during your trip. It is great to meet somebody on the boards during your visit.

I love being able to meet folks from the DIS! If we're ever at DLR at the same time, we'll have to meet up too :)

Yes! I wanted to eat there based off of reviews from Alison, PiO and IheartDDuck and it was very good! I'd try something different than the F&C next time though. I thought they were better at Epcot.

:lmao: at the bolded. I'm not even sure who to root for in the Superbowl. Definitely not a fan of the Patriots--was really rooting for the Colts, so I don't care for the Superbowl this year:snooty:

wow - between Danielle and the Brunette Dancer this Disney TR is turning into an episode of Big Love :rotfl:

That's great that you got to meet Danielle and her mom! Also that you got to meet up with your Aunt and that things worked out well with your mom and her.

We love Raglan Road! It always seems to makes it's way into our plans even when we are trying to do more restaurants that are new to us. We always get several appetizers there - the scallops but also the pate! And of course the bread pudding! I love how it doesn't look that big until you start digging into it/serving it out of it's container and it like grows 3 times it's original size :lmao:

:lmao::rotfl:

This is not new to me. DH always has a new love interest on every trip!

Definitely! I was praying that DM wouldn't bring up uncomfortable situations but she didn't.

You're so right! Didn't think that the 3 of us could much bites out of it, but we totally did! Next time, i'll try another entree I think.

That will be great if our trips do cross paths and we will be able to meet up. You can see my dates on my DLR TR thread.

Thanks for the review and I will consider eating there one day when I go back to WDW. I have a lot of different restaurants that I want to try at WDW and I will have to narrow it down to a few. Are you talking about the F&C at the Rose and Crown Pub or the Yorkshire County Fish Shop? I have ate at the R&CP and the F&C were great.

You know, it's funny, but I bet most of the DIS became Packers fans just for this year when Popadon fell ill. We all knew that a Packer win would be like medicine. Such a bummer it didn't work out. I know I was routing hard core just for that reason.

Awww what a wonderful DISmeet with Danielle and Mom. She is very high on my DISer wish list and I'll just miss her by a few weeks. :(

Yeah, I'm a little jealous of "lives blocks away from DTD".

I need to visit Raglan Road. Live music? Girls dancing on tables? What's not to like even if the food stunk (which as I understand, it does not).

"be careful about showing the video because it looked like we were at a strip club the way the dancer was climbing the stairs".... and every guy reading clicked immediately.... and likely some women as well. :thumbsup2

:lmao: I just love the term rubbernecking. There should absolutely be classes for this.

RR was one of the big hits of our trip in October. We had great service, DD10 loved the dancing, the food was good ... we also really liked WDW's DtD, which kind of surprised me considering you hear a lot of negative talk about it. I understand the negativity but you can really see the potential. We ended up really liking our 1 night at the SSR because of it's close proximity to DtD.

Are you going in May for Alison's Bday?? Assuming she's still having it.

The Yorkshire Fish Shop! I still haven't been to R&C yet. We've made many ADR's in the past for it but have always canceled. It's still on my list to try!

:cool1: :lmao:

Absolutely! Although I was already a fan to begin with, I was rooting even harder as well, for Popadon.

Awww what a wonderful DISmeet with Danielle and Mom. She is very high on my DISer wish list and I'll just miss her by a few weeks. :(

Aw man! Do you try to get to WDW often? She's there every few months so i'm sure you're bound to run into her sometime!

Yeah, I'm a little jealous of "lives blocks away from DTD".

And the sad thing is, she's not even a Disney fan. :scared1::confused3 I asked if she's ever been to the parks, she said no, asked if she goes to DTD all the time and that meet was her second time down there. I believe no one within 15 miles of WDW should be allowed to have property if you're not a fan :rotfl:

I need to visit Raglan Road. Live music? Girls dancing on tables? What's not to like even if the food stunk (which as I understand, it does not).

:rotfl2: I will admit, they staffing manager did an excellent job on picking out these girls :thumbsup2

"be careful about showing the video because it looked like we were at a strip club the way the dancer was climbing the stairs".... and every guy reading clicked immediately.... and likely some women as well. :thumbsup2

Now I wished I posted it on YouTube so I could see how many views it got compared to the other RR videos :rotfl:

:lmao: I just love the term rubbernecking. There should absolutely be classes for this.

I'm a big American Dad fan and that's where I first learned about it. Hadn't seen the episode in a long time, but now know, there is in fact, A Lesson in Rubbernecking

:thumbsup2

Ooh now I want to know what people say negatively about it! I know they are transforming it to Disney Springs so that each section is it's own land, maybe people will like that better?

And we really enjoyed SSR too when we stayed in Oct 2013. But when we stayed the crosswalk from SSR to DTD was being constructed so it was a pain to get over there.

Okay, I totally subscribed a while ago, but just hadn't had the chance to say anything up until this point.

I thought NY's day was exactly for nurturing your liver back to health? No? :lmao:

Hahahaha, Calvin's "I'm on my way" face is "I'm picking my nose." That's awesome.

OMG, that's something my Pop would do! Completely drive past where he's supposed to go and cover it up!

I'm so sorry to hear about DH's grandfather.

Is that a West Side Story gif? :goodvibes

I would say that the reason you pulled in and out of AKL so quickly is that as soon as the ME driver got up to the stop at AKL, he goes SHOOT! in his head, realizes he's a doofus that went the wrong way, and then tries to cover it up by exiting quickly. :rotfl:

The resort looks beautiful! I can't wait to stay there.

Dude, that girl so busted him trying to get in on the shot. :rolleyes1

I'm totally down with the slow motion version of that video. You are entitled to laugh at him whenever you want. :rotfl2:

I was so happy to meet you guys too! Talking with you was so easy, which is always an amazing sign right?! I'm so glad that we overlapped, and I'm still really hoping you guys come out to Green Bay for a game! I would love to do that. For real.

We won't discuss the sad state of affairs that was the Seahawks game. Although I still love them. They just broke my heart a bit. :lmao:

Hahahaha, I'm just a plethora of useless knowledge. Tell DH I very much enjoyed talking to him too. Next time, you'll definitely get to meet Popadon.

You did get a great table at Raglan! Last time we were there we were not even close to the stage area.

I want that dipping sauce for bread right now though. So good!

Look at you stuffing food inside food. Surefire way to get them to eat.

Rubbernecking is a straight up art!

That looked like a very nice day. I'm glad you got to meet up with your Aunt, even it was a little uncomfortable for your Mom, it's important to keep up with family.

I loved Raglan Road, we got the same things as you did and loved them all. The scallop forest was great. We sat outside, so I didn't see the Dancers. Too funny that your DH falls for every woman! :rotfl2: Should I be insulted that he's never fallen for me? :lmao: I guess since I'm not into sports or any of his other interests, I won't worry. :rotfl:

Still wondering when someone will stink at 9AM, seems like Calvin already stank in the afternoon.

Checking in to your TR! Can't wait to read more about the trip! Also, can't wait to see pictures of GF rooms, its such a beautiful resort! :goodvibes

Congratulations to MagicAddict2178 for guessing the correct movie, West Side Story! You win 10,000 Lesha points that you can cash in for absolutely nothing :rotfl:

Sounds like a movie contest I remember seeing before...:rotfl2:

I peered around the corner and saw her and I was so excited to be finally meeting her and oh my goodness, she’s just as sweet and funny in person!

Yay DIS meet!

Woah. I didn’t remember DTD being this massive.

I know it's big, but I think it really feels big when the crowds pick up. Otherwise, it seems manageable.

During the convo, I had to take DS to a quiet, empty area to do his ‘thing’. I know i'm intruding his privacy, but his face is hilarious when he goes:lmao:

Poop Face?

For starters, we had to get the Scallop Forest that everyone talks about

That looks fun. Never been a huge scallops fan, though. Why couldn't they be chicken tenders?

And made a hole out of a French fry and stuffed it with meat and veggies and molded the French fry back together :lmao: He ate it. You’re welcome parents of picky eaters.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: It's only crazy if it doesn't work.

I showed DH the video and he told me to be careful about showing the video because it looked like we were at a strip club the way the dancer was climbing the stairs :scared:

:scared1: Are you sure you're allowed to post this?

off with DVC!) we started making our way towards the bus stop.

And DH started rubbernecking hard. So hard, he almost ran into the back of an older man walking and I had to grab the stroller to stop him! I just pointed at him and said, “Rubbernecking is dangerous!” He just laughed. Poor DH doesn't know how to properly rubberneck. Anyone professional rubberneckers out there that want to teach him?

It's all about peripheral vision. Er, I mean, no, I'm not sure how to help him.:rolleyes1

I HATED that we wasted so much time driving through AKL without stopping. I mean really, we probably only lost 10-15 minutes, but dang it! Those minutes are everything at WDW!

:rotfl: Are you and Dugette related?! Here's are still up as well. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if ours were still up. The Christmas decorations look 100 times better than our 'normal' home decor.

Uhh, there's one at LAX?! :confused3 I probably don't know this because i'm only usually there at 5am or at 8pm trying to get the heck out of there!

I love the slo-mo on the iPhone! Such a fun addition to play around with!

Wait! You did that slo-mo on your iphone!? I need to try that immediately!!!

I would have been really upset too about those wasted 10-15 minutes. Every second is gold when you're about to start your trip!

Yes, there's a WPE at LAX! I couldn't tell you where exactly but we ate there 2 out of 3 times we were at the airport. The first time I discovered it by accident and since I had read about it being in DTD in other people's TRs I knew we must eat there. And the second time I made it a priority to eat there :rotfl: One of those times we were laying over on our way home from Hawaii and it was 6am so we got breakfast pizza. Holy cow was it amazing. By far the best meal I'd ever eaten in an airport, and maybe one of my best breakfasts anywhere! :hyper:

That's wonderful that you had two great meets in DTD. Especially for your DM and your aunt to get to see each other after so long. I'm really happy everyone had a great time.

LMAO at DS doing his thing. Between your description of the photo and the actual picture I'm hysterical.

Wow you got amazing seats at Raglan Road. When we ate here we were stuck in the back room so we had to get up and walk away from our table in order to see the stage. I like how the step dancers were wearing Christmas hats :P

You are a genius with that french fry becoming a meat and vegetable smuggler! I'm going to keep that in my back pocket for later ;)

LOL at the video of the "stripper" climbing the stairs.

I can't believe they sold out of Pandora charms immediately after they received them! That's nuts!

I can't wait to see your room at the VGF!

We all really had the best time talking to Danielle and her mom and probably could have spent all night and day talking. Wish I could have met the famous Popadon but maybe next time. And so glad he’s feeling better and is at home now :goodvibes:
I'm glad you got to meet them! And that your DH enjoyed talking to Danielle so much. :lmao:

From what DH reported, DM was taking her time. She wasn’t thrilled about seeing her –-due to some family stuff—but knew it was the right thing to do. Long story short, we chatted up until our dinner reservation at 6! We had a blast catching up and she gave DS the book, “A Very Hungry Caterpillar” so that was really nice.
I'm glad that you were able to get together with your aunt and put the family drama behind you. At least your DM went along and tolerated it all. :rotfl2:

During the convo, I had to take DS to a quiet, empty area to do his ‘thing’. I know i'm intruding his privacy, but his face is hilarious when he goes:lmao:
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: You really are a mean parent, aren't you?

And made a hole out of a French fry and stuffed it with meat and veggies and molded the French fry back together :lmao: He ate it. You’re welcome parents of picky eaters.
Whenever we try to sneak something in on our kids we always get this look like we're the stupidest parents ever for even thinking we could get away with it. I'm glad it worked for you. :lmao:

I showed DH the video and he told me to be careful about showing the video because it looked like we were at a strip club the way the dancer was climbing the stairs :scared:
:lmao: I can't even see your videos... but that is hilarious. :rotfl2:

While we were walking, DH’s dancer was out in front of the restaurant waving (I guess to bring people in??)
Well, clearly it must work.

And DH started rubbernecking hard. So hard, he almost ran into the back of an older man walking and I had to grab the stroller to stop him!
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Poor DH doesn't know how to properly rubberneck.
2 words. Peripheral vision. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

It's all about peripheral vision. Er, I mean, no, I'm not sure how to help him.:rolleyes1
Ooops, I guess Mark beat me to it. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Joining!!! I have a couple of comments from your pre-report and than the bottom two for the TR. I'm excited to be joining in the beginning of your trip!

GO BLUE!!! I'm living in Phoenix now but I gotta love my Dodgers!!

Oooo.. what app do you use for your countdown?

Love your phone case!!

Oooo.. I love your shirt from the first pic you posted? You must be a Dr Who fan, right?!

LOL, I love the gif you had about your mom asking for a drink.

Great updates! I still need to watch all the videos.

The bus arrival time thing sounds like a fabulous invention. I don't think it's gotten around to all the resorts yet.

Your aunt not only looks quite young, but very tall too!

I'm totally jealous of the view from your table at Raglan Road, we were put in a totally seperate room and three dancers came and danced on a board for us. I missed seeing the musicians.

Nice that you had a good visit with your aunt and had fun meeting Danielle :)
