For reasons known only to him, my brother decided to plunge himself into our UNHEATED pool in sub-zero temperatures outside... he lasted about 3 seconds, but all credit to him for actually DOING it!

Not happening here! I won’t go into a pool under 85 F/30 C, and really prefer a temp above 90 F/32 C. I hate it when I am swimming and begin shivering in the water.
