The CM noted it on our reservation about both the boys birthdays when we go. I know about the birthday pins and have Chef Mickey PS which I noted there birthdays also(well actually my 7 yr olds), then we celebrate at Liberty Tavern my 2 yr. olds birthday. Anything else I should do? I am not ordering a cake since they don't really like cake that much. I am bringing some baloons since my 2 yr old birthday we will be switching and checking into HRH and I thought I would decorate it for him.

If it is noted on the ressies not much more to do, just let them know where you eat. not really to much is done for birthdays, staying concierge one year they did do a cake and ballons. but...I just came back from having my b-day down there..and it seemed eveyone was having a birthday!

I would not count on anything, and what you would like to do for them, take care of yourself....and thing extra they may do then would be a nice surprize!
oh, I did get a birthday cupcake and a song...with a birthday card in the 50's primetime.

We have done birthdays at both chef mickey's and Liberty tree. Your 2 boys will love it, I really enjoyed the Liberty tree birthday because they actually decorated the table . Both gave my kids a card and cupcake with a candle. The characters also made a big deal about the birthday. Just remind the host when you are checking in about the birthday because even though it is noted sometimes it can get overlooked. This happened when my eldest DD turned 1, I thought I had told all the right people about it , and they did not know about it when we got to Artist point. Even though I had called and told them LOL.

You seem to have everything in place to have a wonderful birthday trip, do have the boys wear their pins. We have had some very magical things happen while wearing the birthday pin. (one DD was given a beanie when we were turning in our vouchers, my sister (13) had a CM sing happy birthday to her in front of a crowd of people LOL ) so you never know what will happen

I'd suggest that you make sure to mention this at the front desk when you check in, and at the podiums when you check in with your PS's.

Just a word of advice - even though you have the birthdays noted on your reservation, make sure that you let them know again when you check in to your resort. Same thing goes for your dinner as Pmart indicated.
My DH and DD share a birthday on Aug 31st and we were at PC this past year. When we returned from the parks, they each had a birthday card from Mickey and Minnie with balloons tied to each. It was a nice surprise.
We also celebrated their birthday dinners at LTT. The table was decorated with confetti and they sang to them but they didn't get birthday cupcakes (which was okay as they got them at breakfast at CRT that day)

I agree, don't expect more than you're willing to plan yourself.

There's a thread on the restaurant from a mom who isn't happy because none of the chararcter wished her daughter happy birthday during a character breakfast. They also didn't spend much time at their table, just a quick picture and they were off.

You may get a group of CMs and characters that will go all out, or you may not get anything.

I`m 25 but often act like a child. DH and I do EVERY birthday I have at Disney. AT MK stop by the twon hall and get the pin. I also got a special birthday hat, it looks like a big birthday cake w/ candles that light up when you press a button. This is available in most gift shops, if you think you`ll ever do more than 1 B day there it is worth the price! The best present is all the attention. EVERYONE says happy birthday. You get a cupcake whenever you have a sit down meal. Last year we did Bkfast w/ Pooh and I got a B day card signed by the 100 acre wood characters. Bdays at MK ROCK!!

:cloud9:

I would just give a quick reminder every where you check in - lots and lots of people were celebrating bdays while we were there - LOL DH and I were commenting that our table must have been the only table that wasn't celebrating a Bday at Chef Mickeys when they did the Bday song and Dance - every table around us had atleast one person with a cupcake and candle except out table - LOL :cool1:

Thanks I will let them know. I was hopping at the hotel maybe a card from a character..not really expecting anything else. Also I will metion it at the podium cause a cupcake with a candle they would just love it.

Thanks

Mary

During one of our trips, my youngest son was celebrating his 6th birthday. We were staying at the WL and we had it noted on our ressie, well to make a long story short we had a bad room assignment, a debate with the front desk clerk, it turned rather heated, the manager got invloved per my request, when all was finished and we were in a room that fit the description paid for the manager asked coud he do anything to improve our stay aftre the less than pleasant beginning. I mentined it would be nice for my son to recieve a card from Pooh for his b-day, no I didn't ask for a free meal, a free night or anything stupis justa card, you would ahve thought I ahd asked for a weekss free saty by his attitude. We haven't stayed at the WL since.

We just celebrated both our grandsons birthdays at the ASMo and I mentioned it when we made the reservations and when I made the PS for Crystal Palace for breakfast and the Rainforest Cafe for lunch.

When we arrived at the Magic Kingdom, I went to City Hall and got two birthday buttons. All day long, CM's and other guests wished them Happy Birthday, asked them how old they were, etc. At breakfast, the table was decorated with MM confetti and baloons and they had a birthday march with the characters around the restaurant and at the end of the meal, they brought them each a cupcake and a card signed by Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eyeore.

When we got back to our room, there was some MM baloons attached to birthday cards with a picture of MM and signed by several characters.

At Animal Kingdom, I again got birthday buttons and the same thing happened. We had lunch at Rainforest Cafe and they brought them a Valcano and sang Happy Birthday to them. All in all, they had a great birthday celebration.

Like it was stated in other posts, make sure you mention it at the restaurants when you check in. We reminded them and they said to remind your server and the table was decorated when we got there.

At a couple of the fast food restaurants in the park, the CM's behind the counter gave them free dessert when they saw their buttons.

Unless you specifically order and pay for something yourself, that's about what you can expect. At least, that's what was done for the two boys. They are 5 and 7 and still talk about their birthday celebration at WDW.
