Well went out and got myself some new undies, which in my case signifies that a trip to Disney is in the near future!!! :)
Thank goodness I go once a year. :rotfl:
So my trip is less than a month away. The trip is all paid for, I have my spending money, now the waiting game begins. The grandkids still think we are going in October, but we are going in less than a month. Don't know how my daughter is going to keep it from them. She can't keep a secret. How is she going to explain the suitcases in the trunk, the trip across the border to Detroit and then to the airport LOL
So super excited here, driving them crazy at work. (I think they are all just jealous!!:wizard: )

Carol I ready your title and it made me laugh. Looks like we are in the same city. We leave in 15 days. My son who will turn 4 while we are in Disney has known since Christmas that we will be going back this year and knows it is for his birthday. Every once and a while when I say what are we doing today he replies going to Disney. He hasn't gotten the whole time thing yet and hasn't clued in that we are so close to going.
I hope you have a great trip when you.

We live close by to you in Ingersoll. We are leaving on the 10th of Sept and my kids still don't know either....... When are you going to let your grandkids in on the secret?

LOVE the title of your thread! :lmao: I did one surprise trip to WDW in Dec 2006. It was a LOT of work, trying to pack in secret, make sure that the shorts I put away in September would still fit them, having to be careful when on the phone, or discussing plans after the kids went to bed. We had a very early flight, so had a hotel in Buffalo the night before. We told the kids we were going to my DSis' for the weekend in St. Catharines. We stopped there, and let them in on the secret before we went to the hotel. It was so much fun, but not enough fun to make me want to do a surprise trip again anytime soon! LOL :rotfl2: The kids were most surprised that their teachers knew about the trip when they didn't.

My kids always listen intently when we're crossing the border so there's no way we could have tried to fool them until we got to the airport. :rolleyes1

Hope your daughter is able to keep the secret ... :goodvibes

Have a magical vacation. :)

Well I'm not sure how we will keep it from them. My daughter says that she is going to tell them that she is bringing the suitcases early so that she doesn't have to bring them in October. I suppose going to the States could be explained by saying we are going school clothes shopping.
I think they will catch on when we get on the plane LOL
They are older, 10 & 12.
So we drive to Detroit on Sept 13, stay overnight, do the park and fly thing and leave on Sept 14th at 8:30. Should arrive at the resort by late morning. Then probably going to Downtown Disney or something. I made the mistake last time of waiting till the day before we left to go to Downtown Disney. I usually buy my grandkids christmas ornaments and get them personalized, but they take two days so will go at the beginning instead of the end, and that way I don't have to worry about it.
super excited
