I haven’t been to the world in 20 years and really wanted to see the Christmas decorations. So I booked a room at Pop for 12/8 to 12/13. I thought December would be nice as far as weather and crowds.

I could have picked free dining in September but it’s too hot and too chancy for weather.

But now I keep hearing that this December is going to be so crowded with the opening of galaxy edge.

Should I keep my reservation or reschedule? It’s just my husband and I no kids. We are very flexible as far as when we can go. We don’t want to go when it’s really hot but other than that, I’m open to anything.

After Galaxy's Edge opens, expect WDW to be a madhouse for quite some time. If you want fair weather but are worried about crowds then it will be Dec 2020 before you even get a chance of that happening.

It's totally up to you on if you can handle the crowds. If you choose to wait, you might be waiting a while though.

We are planning for this December as well. We have not been since 2009. I am excited about seeing the Christmas decorations. I know it will be crowded but it's Disney I'll just have to go with the flow!!! We are planning for December 14-21

Keep it! I went that those same dates last month and it wasnt that bad (also just my wife and I). December typically picks up the week after until New Years. With no kids to bring along the trip will be far more easier to manage even if it is a little crowded. The key to having a good time is PLAN!

The Christmas decor is amazing! Go go go!!

We will be there at the same time for a little longer. We will deal with whatever happens. It is my daughter's birthday and we are visiting with a former foreign exchange student from Chile that used to live with us. We are psyched either way; but I would love to go to SWGE, crowds or not.

LOL it's going to be more than a little crowded, with SWGE opening up the expectation is that all 4 parks are going to see higher than normal crowds. It's not a reason NOT to go, but definitely worth being aware that SW is going to have an exponentially greater impact on all of the parks than any of the previous openings including Pandora and TSL.
