what can we expect? I booked the one that has the view of the bottom of the slide because I suspect DD and DH will spend a lot of time sliding :). I would just like to know what I'm in for......hoping it's a whole lot of relaxing since it's the last day of our vaca!

How much is it to book a cabana? Sounds like a great idea.

I would have to dig out my notes, but I believe $150 (that's the club level rate which we are staying). Otherwise, I think it's $200 for the day. My DH complains that we never have any down time on vaca, so since our flights aren't until 8 PM the evening of our last day, I decided we would relax all day and then shower and change at the fitness center (you get access to that by staying club level too) before heading home. Should make a good day/end of trip.

I am looking for experiences with the cabanas. Just curious.

We have done this both at HRH and RPR--both times on my birthday. It was a nice relaxing time. The first time was at HRH and we booked a half day. we went to the park in the morning, and later when my mom checked in we hung out in the cabana and had drinks. My son went in the pool, but I think the rest of us just talked and drank. When it was time for dinner, we went to Tchoup Chop. Then, back to the cabana to watch the evening movie.

At RPR we had the cabana for the whole day. They one we had was very secluded. We did leave to go to Mythos for lunch. We ordered dinner from the pool bar.

Is this something you have to do ahead of time, because of availability, or can it be done on the fly the day of?

Oh Great! Just when I thought I was about out of questions for this vacation you gotta spring this one! LOL

I also would appreciate any comments on renting a cabana. Our flight isn't until 9:30 PM so it might make sense to have a place to chill for the final afternoon before heading out to the airport.

Thanks in advance.

All I can tell ya Paratrooper is that I read about it on line somewhere and figured it was a great wayto end our trip, especially with the evening flight. I did dig out my confirmation information today and because we are staying club level at HRH, our daily cabana rental rate is $150 (usually it's $200). Below is a copy of the what the confirmation letter I received (via email) says. I know there is a beachside bar that serves beverages and food too and that with the cabana, you get a few chairs "inside" and a few "reserved" chairs outside. Good luck!

Thank you for booking your cabana at The Hard Rock. Cabana 10, which is our Steive Wonder “Musicquarium” and it, has been reserved for you on DATE.

Please check in at the fitness center before going to your cabana, where you will finalize payment and receive your remote control for your television. We are located on the on the 1st floor to left of the elevators.

If you wish to cancel your reservation contact the fitness center by 9pm the evening prior to avoid a no show fee of a ½ day rental.

Below are some helpful tips for your day at the pool.

• All Cabanas receive a complimentary fruit basket as well as 8 beverages ( 6 sodas, 2 bottled waters)
• Outside food, alcohol, coolers, pets and glass are prohibited poolside
• Swim diapers, life jackets, ping-pong paddles and balls, shuffle board equipment, and volleyballs are complimentary and available at the towel hut
• Dive in Movies are shown Wednesdays & Fridays at sunset

• Smoking is allowed in cabanas 3-6 only

Thanks for the info. I think it does sound like a great way to spend the last day. Gotta wind down before the flight back to Jersey.

Will be calling the travel agent tomorrow. Now, any suggestions on a specific cabana to rent for me and the DD who is 13?
