My ds6 is sup to go back tomorrow. He has been off for what seems like forever. It is sup to snow here tomorrow with town getting up to 12 inches. I would be surprised if he had school. AHHHH!!

You heard 12? Yikes! :earseek: The last I heard was about 6 for our area. I was worried about possibly having a snow day with the 6. No offense, but I hope you are wrong. :teeth: 12 would definitely be a snow day. UGH!

12 inches of snow! with three flakes this town shuts down! An inch and we are out of school for a week! I can't imagine 12 inches of snow.

No snow here for us in S. Jersey, just rain!

i hope i am wrong he needs to go to school
he has been off for 2 weeks one for our disney trip and then one for school

wdhd has burlington in the 6 to 12 area and we are always on that line and we always get more than they say we are gonna

i have to work tonight so im sure we will be slammed as people will need to run out and buy food

I live just over the border in Nh and I was really hoping for enough snow for just one more day off. I work in an elementary school so I look forward to those snowdays! :earboy2: :earboy2: I think we are very close to the "next to no snow" line.

Please blow the storm north a little. We are in southern NH, and in the depressingly low so we're not going to tell you snow range. I WANT SNOW. We have maybe 2 inches on the ground now. It's pathetic

I could go for some snow!! It has been raining on and off for days straight....it is just so yucky outside...haven't seen the sun in days as well!

I am dreading snow here in Washington, NH--hoping for none!
Have to drive DS16 to work, he works at Pat's Peak & snow day is a GO day!
Nothin' like a white knuckle ride up the side of a few hills! :scared:

The map on channel 7 just had us in the 3-6 range. It looks like it will be a mix in the morning, then the snow will get heavy after the morning commute.

So do they make the kids go and then send them home early? Or do they decide to just prolong vacation a bit more? :confused3

See--that's where it gets tricky. And that's when these poor Superintendants of Schools get ROASTED. It might be fine at 6:50 when they're picking up the high school kids, but it might be snowing like crazy at 8:30 when the elementary kids get picked up.

I think it all depends on when it starts, and what it does overnight, and how much of a mix there is. (Yah, like I'm a big help. :rotfl: )

I heard the same thing 4-7, but Alice, where did you hear to 12. I am a teacher and live on the other side of Woburn I kind of hope we do go back. I much prefer my snow days (if we NEED to have them) on a Friday.LOL
I heard it was starting at 3 am hopefully it will be a clear cut call and we will either be snowed in in the moring OR we will be clear all day. These mixed bag things rarely work out well for the school department. They are dammed if they call it and dammed if they do not.

By the way, do not wait for it to be posted on tv go on thebostonchannel.com they have the postings for all cities. Last time I learned the hard way I was on my way out the door at 6:45 when I decided to check the Boston Channel just as a precaution. We had off and it had been posted at 6am. Many of my collegues got all the way to school only to find it was called off. Now that is a pain.

1 inch of snow here = no school, well high school that is, but maybe its changed since im not in highschool :rotfl2:

Shane, is that a resort in your sig? I'd love to know where that is -- it is gorgeous!

Everyone else in MA: Must be too busy these days -- had no idea snow was in the forecast for tonight. I'm signing off and checking out weather.com. I hope these kids are going to school!!!!

Much ado about nothing, huh? We have about 2 inches and some slush.
Burlignton didnt get cancelled, did it? I know Wilmington and Lexington did...I was getting worried then. ;)

But I guess we have my DH to thank for this fizzled out storm...he bought a snow blower yesterday. :rotfl2:
