So we got off the monorail at the Contemporary resort

2893330460105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And made our way to The Wave

2790385710105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

After being inside in the air conditioning for a bit and being able to sit down, we both felt MUCH better!

The Boyfriend ordered a beer flight

2009428050105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And I ordered a Magical Star Cocktail

2939389010105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Then for our entrees, The Boyfriend ordered the Mediterranean Tuna Salad

2998982880105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And I had the Vegetarian Cuban Sandwich

2906071370105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Both were delicious! Then for dessert, The Boyfriend and I both got the Creamy Indulgence option which included Cheesecake with Raspberry Coulis, Coconut Panna Cotta with Passion Fruit Drizzle, and Chocolate-Passion Fruit Mousse with Pecan-Olive Brittle

2403305650105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

YUM!!! We both really liked having the tiny dessert options. The Boyfriend doesn't have much of a sweet tooth, so he likes very small portioned desserts. And I have a major sweet tooth, and I liked this because I got 3 different desserts to try! So yes, dessert at The Wave was a big hit with both of us!

After lunch, we checked out the Contemporary gift shops for a bit. Then got back on the monorail to go back to MK.

2209659730105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Now, The Boyfriend HATED doing this (going to a park, hopping on the monorail for lunch at a resort, then going back to the park.) When he goes to a park, he doesn't want to leave then come back later. He likes going, staying until he's done, and then leaving. So chances are we won't ever do this again. But we did both enjoy eating at The Wave!

We got off the monorail back at MK

2993613790105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And the first thing we decided to do was ride the train! I LOVE the train at Disneyland. Seriously, when I go to Disneyland I just hop on the train and ride it around and around and around the park over and over and over again. Last year I really wanted to ride the train at WDW, but we ended up not having enough time. So we made sure to ride it on this trip. Even if The Boyfriend wasn't too thrilled about it, and would rather go on a "real" ride.

2478645600105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2581305040105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I must admit, I like the train at Disneyland much better. Probably because of the dinosaurs. The train at WDW passes by scenes like this

2108854340105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

But that's not nearly as cool as dinosaurs!!!

After the train ride, we went on Space Mountain. Now, I've never ridden Space Mountain in my life... Not the Disneyland version and not the Disney World version either. Last time I went to Disneyland, I got in line to ride it. Then the ride stopped working for quite a bit. And I started panicking and freaking out that it might get stuck while I was on the ride, so I chickened out. Then the first time I was at WDW, it was closed.

So we rode it! And... I didn't care that much for it! It was really jerky! And I guess I wasn't expecting that? Anyway, I couldn't really get over how bumpy and jerky it was, so I couldn't really enjoy the ride. But, now that I know what to expect, I think I may like it more next time I ride it! We'll see!

After Space Mountain, we went and saw Philharmagic! It's quite possibly my favorite attraction at MK! And The Boyfriend loves it as well!

After Philharmagic, we walked around trying to figure out what to do next. The Boyfriend was in an AWFUL mood at this point. And since he wasn't having fun, I wasn't having fun either. It didn't seem like he wanted to do anymore rides, so I suggested we leave the park.

Again... more miscommunication! He thought I wanted to leave, and was mad because he didn't get to do the rides he wanted to go on (Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, etc.) Of course, he didn't say anything and just left the park. I didn't want to leave! I wanted to stay and go on more rides... but it really didn't look like he was having fun at all, so I thought he wanted to leave!

So we did end up leaving. We got back on the monorail and went to the Poly. I wanted to get me some Dole Whip! See, last year I got a Dole Whip float. And I didn't like it. I didn't like the plain Dole Whip in the float either! So I really wanted to get some Dole Whip swirled with vanilla soft serve. I thought that might be really good, since I'm not too crazy about Dole Whip by itself. So I got some at the food court at the Poly.

2734249550105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And... I didn't like it! Apparently I just don't like Dole Whip! Which I love pineapples! But not Dole Whip. I may try the orange flavor on my next trip... But yeah, I don't like Dole Whip! I think I'm definitely in the minority on this one! And I'm quite possibly the only person in the world that doesn't like Dole Whip, but loooooves the Beverly drink from Italy at Club Cool in Epcot!

I tried to eat as much of the Dole Whip as I could... but I wasn't able to eat much. While I was attempting this, I kept asking The Boyfriend what was wrong. He kept saying nothing, even though something clearly was. Finally he told me it was because he felt like we were just doing what I wanted to do and not what he wanted to do. And I told him that he wouldn't tell me what he wanted to do, so I had no idea! I'm not a mind-reader! I explained that I didn't really care what we did, I was just suggesting things! And that when I'd ask, "Do you want to ride this?" I was seriously asking him if he wanted to ride it and not saying, "This is what I want to ride!" We both apologized and worked it out. But neither of us were feeling much like going back to MK...

So we decided to head to DTD instead!

Hmm... so it doesn't look like I'll be making that September 1st deadline... But I'm pretty sure I can finish this TR before Labor Day! So that's my new goal!

So we arrived at DTD and decided to do some shopping! I went to the Basin store and bought some soaps for my grandmother. Then we checked out the Arribas Brothers shop. We were both amazed by this

2866904320105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

But even more amazed by the price tag

2610382980105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Then we checked out the Rainforest Cafe gift shop. I enjoyed watching the fish

2971369830105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

By then we were pretty hungry, so we decided to have dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express.

We both had the Four Cheese Pesto Pizza

2069116510105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Absolutely delicious!

For dessert I had the Creme Brulee

2910110800105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And The Boyfriend had Chocolate Frozen Yogurt

2347830720105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We had a lovely time at WPE and would definitely go back again sometime!

After dinner, we decided to head to T-Rex for drinks!

2103956290105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2425916910105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2900685680105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We walked in and found some seats at the Shark Bar. Now, I can't remember the names of most of the drinks we ordered (or what was in them) and I can't find a copy of a drink menu anywhere online to help jog my memory!!!

I do remember the first drink I had was a Cotton-tini!

2721798220105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2971474610105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2158694910105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The Boyfriend had something that looks like it had Pina Colada and some sort of puree in it...

2518845550105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Then we had a couple more drinks and I really wish I could find a drink menu online so I could remember what they were! We got to keep the glasses though, which was cool! Even better, they gave us brand new glasses all packaged up nicely! Great souvenirs!

2338410210105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2893580720105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We left T-Rex and walked around DTD some. We found a spot to sit down with some tables and live music.

2050473470105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We split a beer from a nearby kiosk

2310444640105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The Boyfriend made goofy faces and I took pictures with my fisheye lens

2837232500105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And we enjoyed listening to the musician play his guitar

2035787880105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2739837150105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

He was really good and gave a great show! It was a lovely night and we were having a great time!

We finished our beer and the guitarist finished his performance. So we decided to go to Raglan Road!

There was a really long wait, but they said if we wanted to eat outside we could be seated right away. So outside we ate!

Or rather, outside we drank!

The Boyfriend had a Newcastle

2271172970105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And I had a Guinness

2782659420105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And we ordered the Smokie City which was smoked haddock, potatoes, tomatoes, and Dubliner cheese.

2164910940105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

It was SOOOOO good! Seriously delicious!

After our food and drinks, we wandered around DTD some more. We enjoyed the street performers.

2799787610105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I love DTD at night

2632439160105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2121836020105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We made our way back to the boat dock, ready to call it a night. But first I went to the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom, I couldn't find The Boyfriend. So I decided to take pictures of the shops while I took my time "looking" for him.

2523970500105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2401217540105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2001301020105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And the carousel...

2921790140105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And then more shops...

2630009040105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2805674070105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2211697020105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I finally did find The Boyfriend! He had gotten another beer while he was waiting for me!

2947171280105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I took some more night shots of DTD while we waited for our boat

2796436940105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2502328660105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Our boat came and took us back to POFQ. On the walk back to our room I decided to get some shots of the pool

2226178900105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2379832560105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2525923900105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We decided that the next day we were going to go swimming!

The next morning we got up and had breakfast at the food court.

The Boyfriend had another croissant sandwich

2566032430105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And I had another Mickey waffle

2891143190105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Instead of eating at the food court like we usually do, we took our breakfast up to our room at ate. Then we changed into our bathing suits and headed to the pool!

We were there before the slide opened for the day, so we decided to stay until it opened because we wanted to ride it! After a bit of swimming, they opened the slide and we got in line. We were by far the oldest people in line!

I went down the slide first! It was pretty fun! Then The Boyfriend went after me... and he got stuck on his way down!

We were a little embarrassed, but it was fun! We probably wouldn't go down the slide again unless there were other adults in line!

After riding the slide, we headed back to our room and changed. Then we headed to the bus stop and were soon on our way to Hollywood Studios!

2421265000105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2544991390105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The first thing we did was go on my FAVORITE ride... The Great Movie Ride!!!

2039285870105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I loved the ceilings in the ride queue

2418946460105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2873255100105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I do love this ride...

2795977360105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2258697580105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2921360300105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2864341040105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

My favorite part of the ride is the scene from Alien. I am absolutely terrified of the Alien movies! I have an extreme fear of Xenomorphs. So that part of the ride where you enter the Nostromo... my stomach drops, my heart starts racing. Absolutely terrifying! I love it though! Haha, it's a fun kind of scary. Unfortunately I didn't get any good pictures from that part of the ride... Probably because my hands were shaking so much I was so scared!!!

Speaking of being scared, while we were on the ride there was a little girl with her parents sitting next to The Boyfriend. Before the ride started she kept asking if it would be scary, and her parents kept reassuring her that no, it wasn't scary at all. And she was a little nervous at first, but it seemed okay... Until the gangster scene. She did NOT like that. Then there was gunfire in the western scene and that scared her. Then it was all over by the time we got to Alien! She completely buried herself in her mom's lap and cried the rest of the ride. Poor kid.

After the ride, it was getting close to our ADR time for lunch! So we headed toward Sci Fi. But first we stopped at the ABC Commissary.

2076768160105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I'm a big television fan, so I like to stop in and see the prop displays. This year I was very sad to see the Lost prop display was gone! (The Boyfriend and I are both HUGE Lost fans! I even have the numbers tattooed on me!)

We at lunch at one of our favorite restaurants... Sci Fi!

2976793100105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I love this place...

2623727710105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2836731880105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2883422840105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2144468130105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Yes... we followed the rules! Haha! We're not big PDA people to begin with... But I do think that warning is cute!

We were seated in the front of a car!

2401656360105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The Boyfriend LOVES the clips they show! (He's seen most of the movies... he's a huge MST3K fan!)

2560478960105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The Boyfriend ordered a beer

2741791740105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And I had a drink called The Comet which was rum, vodka, gin and tequila topped off with sour mix and cranberry juice with a souvenir glow cube!

2840037470105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I'm a sucker for glow cubes...

2789494820105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2040883690105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We ordered an appetizer of onion rings

2888173470105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The Boyfriend had the Angus Chuck Burger

2601628470105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And I had the Seared Marinated Tofu

2937381450105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The tofu dish wasn't as good as it was the last time I ordered it... so I might try something else next time...

For dessert, The Boyfriend had the cheesecake

2952860760105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And I had a hot fudge sundae

2339380300105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Even though my entree was slightly disappointing, it was still another great experience at Sci-Fi!

After lunch, we decided to go do something we'd never done before... The Backlot Tour!

So we made our way to The Streets Of America

2758188060105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We had to wait a little bit for the tour to start, but it wasn't that bad. I really enjoyed the intro where we watched the "movie" scene being filmed. And I was pretty excited once we boarded the tram!

2250439110105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The tram ride was pretty neat!

2141481440105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Obviously the best part was Catastrophe Canyon!

2933710400105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2639262080105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

That was a lot of fun!

Then the tram ended at the AFI Showcase... which was pretty cool. Until I saw...

2755708080105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

OMG!! Behind you!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, that's right! I came face to face with one of my biggest fears.... Xenomorphs! Life size Xenomorphs!!! :scared1:

2630870970105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Terrifying!!!!

I new they were on The Great Movie Ride... but I was not expecting to see any at the AFI Showcase!

Haha, but all in all, I really enjoyed The Backlot Tour and would definitely do it again!

Then we decided to do something else we've never done... Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show! We had some time to kill before the next show started, so I got some sort of blue slushy thingie.

2100476550105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

It was pretty refreshing. And it turned my tongue blue.

We got in line for Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show and waited for them to start seating for the next show.

We sat on the ground and waited. And took pictures of each other to pass the time.

2666062870105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2370649300105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We're weird people... I know.

Finally they let us into the theater and we found some seats. We had a great view of the Earful Tower

2172011430105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I also enjoyed seeing the tops of the Tower of Terror, The Great Movie Ride and the Sorcerer's Hat.

2696514850105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Haha, okay, maybe I didn't really enjoy seeing the Tower of Terror! That is the only ride at WDW I will NOT go on! I rode it once and I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed... and I was 23 years old at the time!!!! I am so scared of that ride! I get pains in my stomach every time I look at it!

After awhile the show started, and it was very cool!

2060200170105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2516798020105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2926440930105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2562307410105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2609552860105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2431486280105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The show was fantastic! Definitely worth the wait!

So as you can tell I didn't make the Labor Day deadline I set for myself! :sad2:

I really did mean to! But then I got a lot of last minute work assignments. And then I got sick! But I did at least finish editing the photos for this TR! Which is the most time consuming part! So now I have the rest of this week to finally get this TR finished!

After LMA, we decided to go ride Rock 'n Roller Coaster

2831348860105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2073933920105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2073003790105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2619039240105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

It's one of my absolute favorite rides! I love it!

One ride we did not go on was the Tower Of Terror. That is the one and only ride at all of WDW I absolutely will not go on! I am TERRIFIED of it! I rode it for the first time in 2009, and I got off the ride sobbing and shaking! I absolutely HATE the feeling of falling! It is not fun at all! I still have nightmares about that ride! So yeah, no TOT for me! (Which makes me sad because The Twilight Zone is my absolute favorite TV show! And I was soooo excited to go on a Twilight Zone ride! I will admit that I LOVE the ride up until the falling part!) I told The Boyfriend he was more than welcome to go on it by himself, but he didn't want to. So we skipped it.

After RnR we decided to have dinner. We ate at Rosie's All American Cafe. I liked the name because our dog is named Rosie! Hehe!

We both had cheeseburgers

2435698580105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

For dessert The Boyfriend had carrot cake

2150904590105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And I had chocolate cake

2819286930105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I guess I was really thirsty because I finished my drink long before I finished my burger! And I was still very thirsty. So I decided to just fill up my cup with water from a drinking fountain. So I headed towards the nearest bathrooms. I remembered those bathrooms well because that was where I had gone to dry my tears and blow my nose after I rode TOT the year before! But of course, there were no drinking fountains outside that bathroom! So I found a CM and asked where the nearest drinking fountain was. She pointed towards the TOT and said there was one right next to the attraction. *gulp*

Seriously???!!! You mean I have to walk right up to that thing??!!!

Not only that, but I had to walk right past the line for the ride! So I was completely surrounded by people that were heading towards the line for the ride. And I thought to myself, "I've had nightmares that started this way!" Where I get lost in the shuffle of the crowd and end up in line for TOT without realizing it... and then I can't get out of line!

Luckily I was able to get past the line and to where the drinking fountains were and filled my cup up with water, then made it back to our table safely. I was a little nervous the whole time though!

After dinner, we decided to go ahead and get seats for Fantasmic. We still had quite a long wait before the show started, but wanted to make sure we could get seats!

Which was good thinking because it was PACKED!

At one point the crowd started doing The Wave. And The Boyfriend did not participate! When the wave would come by, he'd just stay in his seat. I was shocked! I've never met anyone that didn't do The Wave! In fact, when we got home we asked our friend Joe if he does The Wave at stadiums. (If anyone else doesn't do The Wave, it's probably him! He's not big on participation...) He said, "Yeah... I mean I don't get really into it or anything... but I get like halfway out my seat and lift my arms slightly... It's awkward to just sit there and do nothing when everyone else is doing the wave!" So The Boyfriend is still the only person I know that doesn't do The Wave!!

While we were sitting and waiting, the sky looked pretty stormy. We used the weather app on my phone to look at the radar and it looked like lots of rain was coming our way! We were a little nervous that the show might be cancelled. We even debated heading back to the hotel before the rain hit to avoid getting drenched. But we eventually decided to just stick it out!

Which was a good call! It did end up raining, but it was a light sprinkling. And it didn't effect the show at all! And Fantasmic was a wonderful show that we both absolutely loved! (This was our first time seeing it!)

After we got out of Fantasmic, we walked around HS at night and I took some pictures.

We saw that Muppet Vision 3D was still open, so we decided to go watch it.

2241193300105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

There were only about 5 of us in the audience. After Muppet Vision 3D, we decided to call it a night and head back to POFQ. But of course we both had to get a couple more shots of the sorcerer hat before we left!

When we got to POFQ, we decided to go to Scat Cat's one last time. We had a couple beers. And I had one of these, which for the life of me I cannot remember what it was!

2423858170105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Elliot Dyson was performing that night, and he put on a great show! It was a lovely last night night to our trip!

The next morning we woke up. And unfortunately, The Boyfriend wasn't feeling well. He was extremely congested! Just our luck! The first time we went to WDW, the last day I got miserably sick. This trip it was his turn to get sick on the last day!

The Boyfriend wasn't hungry, so he skipped breakfast. (Probably because he was sick...) I got myself one last Mickey Waffle.

Then we packed up and checked out of our hotel. We dropped our bags off at the Magical Express station. We had a few hours to kill before DME was coming to get us, so we hopped on the ferry and headed to DTD!

We wandered around a bit, then decided to have lunch at Earl of Sandwich. Again we both had The Original 1762. (Sooo good!) I didn't take any new pictures of it, but these are the same pictures I took the first day

For dessert we got some pudding and a cookie

2155148730105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We still had 3 snack credits left between us, so we went to Goofy's Candy Co and got some chocolate covered strawberries

Then we decided to head back to POFQ. On the boat ride back it started raining.

The Boyfriend was absolutely miserable, but he was trying to smile and look like he was enjoying himself!

We got back to the hotel, and I took some last pictures of the pool

2251722100105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Then we headed to the pool bar for some last drinks for the trip!

The Boyfriend got a Sour Apple Freeze (which is non-alcoholic btw)

2299249550105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I got some fruity drink... don't remember what...

2513900520105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I also got a Southern Sunrise which is Southern Comfort blended with Orange Purée and Monin Passion Fruit... I'm a sucker for anything Passion Fruit!

2318348140105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And then The Boyfriend got himself some sort of frozen drink (again, I don't remember what...)

2142645250105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The bartender was nice. She asked us where we were from and when she said North Carolina, she said she'd just gotten back from a trip to the NC beaches. We chatted for awhile. She told us about the crazy accidents and injuries she'd gotten on past vacations. Then we said goodbye and headed to the POFQ lobby to wait for the DME!

2271488820105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Inside the fountain everyone had thrown their doubloons!

2604065630105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We were given some doubloons, but we kept them as souvenirs and didn't throw them in the fountain.

I used the bathroom one last time before we left. I really liked the toilets. So much so, I had to get a picture!

2303487580105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

It reminded me of a toilet I had in my dollhouse when I was a kid...

Then we headed to the DME bus stop. While we were there, a CM came us and gave us all "Happily Ever After" buttons and Mardi Gras beads! That was pretty cool!

Finally the DME arrived... and The Boyfriend cracked up laughing. It was another cruise bus!!!!!! We've ridden the DME 4 times, and have gotten a cruise bus every single time! Just once I would like to ride a regular DME bus!

We got on the DME/cruise bus and headed to the airport!

2423409930105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

At the airport we rode the tram to the terminal

2463235350105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

(I do love that tram...)

The Boyfriend played games on his iPod while we waited for our flight.

2886342760105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And it wasn't long before we were on our way home!

2973440370105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We arrived home safely and my parents picked us up from the airport. And we eagerly rushed home to see our doggie!!! The Boyfriend's mom had to leave for work, so she wasn't there when we got home. But she did leave us a note. The Boyfriend looked at the note and said, "Hey! This is written in Santa's handwriting!" I thought that was pretty cute.

So yup, we had a FANTASTIC trip! There were some fights and tears, but all in all a great time was had by all!
