I apologize if this is a silly question..re the short ribs at chefs de france

are they ribs (like the ribs ate hoop de doo) or is it a rib steak? I looked online at pictures and it looks like a big ole steak.
also, how tasty is it?

It is not like the ribs at the Hoop de doo. It is a boneless piece of meat. After reading tons of great reviews about that meal I had high expectations, it was just ok, but the creme brulee made up for it.

The short ribs are marinated, then slow cooked in the oven for about 2 hours so it's not like a steak, but more like a stew. I enjoyed them. The meat was tender and well flavored.

I just had them last month. They reminded me of thickly sliced pot roast with barbeque sauce. I enjoyed them, even though it wasn't what I expected.

Yup... kinda like pot roast but not dry... very tasty... I loved that entree! Also nice to see Remy, any day but Sunday so I understand. Here's a link to my review with a picture of the short ribs.

The short ribs presentation made me think of beef stew. Meet was tender, but kind of fatty. I was not totally pleased with it.

Even more disappointing was my creme brulee. It was burnt, rather than caramelized. The creme brulee was better at Wolfgang Express.

We had a good experience here several months back.

Ordered the short ribs. Very tender, tasty and meaty chunks. Yes, a little fattier cut of beef than some prefer, but that's what keeps it moist and so tender. Nothing like Hoop de Do ribs though.

Order the sherbet dessert over the creme brulee. I still think about it and make yummy noises. The most creamy flavor infused sherbet (3 flavors in one dish) I've ever tasted, and I am not a sherbet fan.

They were fatty when we had them. It was the worst dinner we had the entire 10 days.
