I am yet to see the woman who looks better with bangs than without

Weird, I feel the opposite way. I've yet to see a woman who looks better without bangs that with them.

I've come to this conclusion after years of comparisions.

As for proving it, how could I? It's a matter of opinion. I feel strongly that women with bangs look better, but it's just MO.

With pictures, of course!

Yep, that's what I was thinking.

I look better with bangs, too. Not the rigid, straight across kind, but side-swept bangs. Maybe the OP wasn't including those.

Hmmm. Good question. I'd have to see what you mean by that.

Thanks. In my eyes, with possible exception of the 1st one, those are all "no bangs."

Ok... I'll share my story... I had bangs for 46 1/4 years... YUP... 46 1/4. Then I posted a picture on here on my Cruise Meet Thread and on a Singles Thread (when I wasn't dating someone) and BOTH threads prompted comments on my "bangs". I started growing them out in January and I'm so glad I did!!

I get many, many more compliments on my eyes, my skin, my hair, etc... vs. when all people could focus on were my bangs! I have very thick hair so I think the bangs were just another life form! :lmao:

Oh... and as another Poster said regarding the comment her Mom made... I noticed that about my OWN forehead :scared1: too! It's the only place I have wrinkles. My boyfriend says they are character lines... :rotfl2:

I look better with bangs. Tall forehead and big eyes, I really need bangs. I grew them out once and my ex-boyfriend called me praying mantis and my now DH called me onion head! If you get nicknames because of a hairstyle, it's time to change! :rotfl: Funny thing is, I don 't have any lines in my forehead. I can lift my eyebrows up, squish them together and no lines, so I'll probably never have wrinkles on my forehead, but no one will know because I need bangs!

I would be so scared to try bangs but I'd love to. i have very greasy skin so i think they would just get plastered to my skin and look nasty.

I grew my bangs out two times, the most recent being a few months ago.
I had bangs cut last haircut and I look better with them. MUCH better with them. I wanted to look better without them, but I don't. LOL

No, because beauy [sic] is subjective. What looks good to you may look awful to others

"In your eyes" see what I mean?

Sheeesh. It's just for discussion. :confused3 :duck:

I've never had bangs since 1st grade and really want to try them when I get my hair cut in two weeks. I had long layered last year, but wouldn't call them bangs. I have a large high forehead too. I don't want ones that hang in my eyes though.

I gotta say. I have really short "choppy" bangs. I cut them myself most of the time because I can't afford the hair cut very often either.

My hair is really really fine and I have a high forehead so I need bangs. Because my hair is so fine, they have to be short or they look really yucky. When I was young, my brother used to tell me.. "You could watch a motion picture on that forehead." :rotfl: He is right.

I always provide free bang trims for my clients and think more hairdressers should. The reason I started doing it is because my sister alwasys wanted her bangs cut *too* short so they'd last. I decided that this might be a common feeling so if someone just wants threir bangs trimmed, I'd rather do it for free than ruin a haircut with "too short" bangs.

As a hairdresser, I consider all those photos to be a type of bangs. Although there is no universal language for haircut terms (and there needs to be), those are all some form of having bangs to me.

Not a gal, but I always thought David cassidy should go back to having some bangs:

Matthew McConaughey could use some bangs too. His forehead is much too high for the slicked back hair he likes to have.

Alright, I'll bite, I think I look much better with bangs.

No way will I post a picture. But I am keeping the bangs. I want as much of my face obscured as possible, it's better that way.

If I could pull off the Cousin It look I would.

Don't have a picture but I know someone who has bangs to cover a scar. Whether it looks better or not, it makes her more comfortable and self-confident. She doesn't have to put up with people asking "What happened to YOU?" Like it's any of their beeswax...

My hairdresser provides a free bangs trimming too. At $139 a haircut at a posh Fifth Avenue salon, she'd better! Of course, I tip her when she does trim my bangs. She's wonderful about sliding me in between appointments.

You look good in both, but so much better with bangs! Love the color and stlyle! :thumbsup2

Thanks! :goodvibes It was a big change but I really think the new style suits me!

I would never follow any blanket recommendation on what people should or shouldn't wear. That's what personal style is for. (Except those shorts that are so short they leave your bum hanging out. Those are just wrong. :rotfl: )
