I am yet to see the woman who looks better with bangs than without

I totally think it depends on the type of hair you have, face shape, etc. I have a stupid cowlick so bangs just don't fly on me (they were always uneven) and I grew out my bangs years ago. Only 1 out of my 3 daughters have bangs and I think they're right for her. One has very thick, curly, long hair without bangs and the other has thick, wavy (but she gets it thinned) hair. Her hair is layered. I guess technically she has long layered bangs but they don't start til about her jawline.

I have long sideswept bangs and I like them so there. ;]

Weird, I feel the opposite way. I've yet to see a woman who looks better without bangs that with them.

I've come to this conclusion after years of comparisions.

As for proving it, how could I? It's a matter of opinion. I feel strongly that women with bangs look better, but it's just MO.

ITA... unless the hair is pulled back, I think women look better with some sort of bang

Oh, and Kath2003, I do think you look better with bangs and with your hair lighter, like in the first picture...it's a very young flattering look for you.

Thanks, I had my hair lighter for years but I couldn't afford to keep highlighting it all of the time so now it's back to brown. I liked it more when it was lighter, too. It takes 5 hours a time for highlights and a cut though

I think I'll cut the bangs back in this summer, too.

I can't do bangs. No hairstylist has EVER suggested bangs for me, not even when I was putting my hair in their hands completely. My hair is curly, especially up front, so they would just be little poodle things. And if I were to straighten them, well, I despise the "straight bang but curly rest-of-hair" look with a serious burning passion, so that's NOT going to happen.

I had short hair at one time and sort of "had", or could create, bangs for a time, and although I thought I looked cute, all my friends were VERY happy when they grew out at last. Then I looked back at my pictures and nearly cried, they looked so ridiculous! And of course 3 minutes after doing my hair, they would start to curl around the sides, and it was just silly.

Prove that you have the credentials to make such a statement.

It's ignorant to think that one style fits all.

As it is silly to think you should have one style your entire life.

I was bangless for a long while, and now I have side swept choppy ones.

Gotta keep changing.... never get in a rut, is my motto. :thumbsup2

(Although the pink guy in your sig could use a trim. ;))

Tyra Banks (she goes along with Christina Ricci). Some people look cute with bangs, even striagh across bangs. No one, and I repeat no one should have "done" bangs anymore- those involving a curling iron, pick, and a bottle of Bold Hold or Aqua Net!

Don't forget the measuring stick LOL

LOL. I grew my bangs out a few years ago. I hadn't seen my mother in a few months and the first thing she said to me was "Oh, you grew your bangs out. Now I can see all the wrinkles on your forehead". :rotfl2: I wasn't laughing at the time though.

I gotta say. I have really short "choppy" bangs. I cut them myself most of the time because I can't afford the hair cut very often either.

My hair is really really fine and I have a high forehead so I need bangs. Because my hair is so fine, they have to be short or they look really yucky. When I was young, my brother used to tell me.. "You could watch a motion picture on that forehead." :rotfl: He is right.

What is it they say? The higher the hair the closer you are to God? Certainly didn't work for me in the 80's and I had fabulously huge bangs!:rotfl2:

I agree! Where I hail from...they say we look 10 years younger with bangs! Isn't it funny how we see things differently!:rotfl2:

I used to kind of have bangs but then I couldn't afford to get my hair cut very often so they grew out :rotfl:

(Excuse the drunken look, I was on the second bottle by the time that last photo was taken!)

You are lucky...I think your hair looks nice on you both ways::yes::

I like your hair darker. It brings out your pretty eyes more, I think.

Bangs are totally IN right now and I think they look great on a lot of women. To say that no woman looks good w/ them sounds kind of ignorant to me.

I think I look better with bangs but I agree with almost everyone here... one hair style is not for everyone.
