I am trying to be patient with my husband but...

DH has been 'looking' at cameras for well over 3 years now.

3 years, OP, what type of camera are you getting. :confused3

I needed a new camera...went to Target...saw the SONY CYBER SHOTS and bought it...$150.00. The Cyber Shots are pretty popular. 7.2 mega pixels. :thumbsup2 I never had a Target acct and clerk said if I opened one, I would get an additional 10% off. The camera was already on sale from $170.00. :goodvibes So another $15.00 off was sweet. Turned around to the accessories display, picked up a nice basic Sony carrying case and that was that!!! :goodvibes

Really no need to make this a huge project with everything else you need to remember when you go to WDW!!!

Make sure you bring the camera directions w/you to refer to if you need to!!!

Have fun!!!

If you already know the camera and that's agreed upon.

Go to the manufacturer's site. See what price they have it at.

Go to amazon, bestbuy, beachcamera (or beachcamera through amazon!)...those are the biggies. See the total price. Are you in a state that amazon has a physical presence and does your state charge sales tax? Then you'll pay tax so add it on. Does it qualify for free shipping...can you order from bestbuy and pick it up? etc etc.

This will take, maybe, an hour.

Then order it.

I guess I'm still confused as to why you just won't (or haven't) bought it yourself.

For a measly $130 it doesn't matter if you want or need it just buy it and be done with it. Then you don't have to worry about being patient with anyone.

Hey, I get bargain shopping and wanting to get the best price you can, and I also totally understand researching everything in order to get what you will be happiest with!

But if something's agreed upon, there's no waiting for it to happen. If I knew my husband to be a procrastinator (he is :teeth:), that camera would have been purchased yesterday. Same with me. If he knew I was waffling, he'd just go do it.

True story. DH wanted the camera. He had everything picked out, what manufacturer, what features, the top price he'd pay, everything. It took him two years to buy his perfect camera. He's happy because the price finally dropped enough for him to justify the purchase. I think he's insane (we're not talking about hundreds of dollars here, more like $75) but he's happy.

He's out of state on business later on that year, won't be home for another month or two and our old camera dies (he's got his camera with him). I look on slickdeals, they have a camera in a discontinued color that gets decent reviews under $100 so I order it while it's still in stock. Two days later I have a new camera that's perfect for my girls only Disney weekend with DD. Funny thing is, we're probably both equally happy with our cameras. Sometimes I think my DH is having so much fun searching for the perfect whatever, the actual buying comes second. I'd go buy your camera so you can take lots of pictures and have your DH start researching your next one. ;)

I set a date and I have no problems going out and getting it. I know he just puts everything off because he has issues (they have been confirmed on DIS)buying things.

We have been looking for a house for 2 years. He also pretended to shop for a T.V. for 4 years until I told him he could either be with me when I bought one or not, but we were getting one in a week.

He doesn't care if I spend money on myself (I have spent more than this on a hair cut) or the kids mostly because he knows I am not an overspender. Only if it is in electronics or anything in Home Depot does he really want to actually purchase it.

He didn't bat an eye when I booked the disney trip but certain things he has issues with, it is sooooo irritating.

Yes, it is annoying as heck sometimes but it would be far worse to be on the other end of the spectrum and have him running up debt and spending recklessly.

I can honestly say that is his major fault, but it is also a gift in some respects.

He knows that either he gets it by Saturday or I go to Best buy and get it. I am not going to go through the motions again to look at prices when he insists on doing it and I am not wasting any more of my time, when he said he would do it. I will happily walk into Best buy and pay whatever the going rate is at the store.

We have been looking for a house for 2 years.

I have to say househunting is a bit different than looking to purchase a camera.....ESP when you are leaving for WDW in 12 days.

Anyway, do not disgress anymore...as you will still need to read all the directions for the camera...go get it tonight or tomorrow and cross that off your Disney "to do" list! :goodvibes

Have a good time on your trip. :mickeyjum

GOT IT!

Well I didn't get the one we planned on because all the stores had cleared out due to the newer model (dh waited too darn long). I bought the newer model. I charged the battery, it works great , and I am done.;)

:lmao: I am not laughing AT you - I am laughing WITH you. Been there, done that. Sounds like you basically have a good guy, he's just fixated on gadgets, like many men. :goodvibes

I think part of the problem is most electronics are obsolete when we take 'em home, and guys always want the latest and greatest! It's a never ending battle...

Good luck on getting your camera and have fun on your trip!

I have not bought an XBOX360 or a PS3 because I am waiting for them to fix the rings of death or it becomes cheaper. Looks like that is not going to happen soon. I have been waiting for yrs now....

Once Final Fantasy 13 comes out then I have to break down and get one. They know this and are holding out of course.:rotfl:

Have fun on your vacation!

When we went on our trip 6 years ago...I picked up our new digital camera at lunch on my last day of work before we left.

I was reading the directions on the plane down to Orlando...

My DH...well...let's say I finally had to put my foot down and just get the camera.
