This is the real issue. Like Jack said, if he was truly suffering an attack he had his meds available but CHOSE not to use them. There isn't much more disgusting than a professional claimant (or in this case, professional plaintiff).
Whatever you feel about the case, Skip, I heartily object to the idea that one person's claim makes an entire class of people look bad. I don't assume that every disabled person files lawsuits whenever they feel like it, and assuming that people feel that way is going overboard.
