Does he have his own personal flotation device (PFD)?
I live near a river and lake that get a lot of action from water sports enthusiasts.
We've had 6 drownings this summer.
The local park law enforcement officers who do the search and rescue say
they have never pulled a DB that was wearing a PFD.
PFDs save lives.

DH bday is next week. I got a Bluetooth setup so he can use his iPhone hands free thru his car speakers. His car is a 2007 so it doesn't have that feature.

You in a bikini...OK...you said he wasn't romantic. What about a pair of really nice sunglasses--Oakley, Rayban, etc. Or maybe a new boogy (sp?) board with leash. A nice cooler filled with his favorite drinks, new beach towel and sunscreen. New board shorts. How about a gift certificate that he can turn into you anytime he wants to go water sporting with the guys. He will turn in the certificate and you give him the day, no questions asked. My DH gets photography days to do as he pleases--or kayak days, etc. You can make gift certificates for lots of things.
