I am so excited

Since my mom passed away back in April. I was able to get money from her life insurance. Since this will be our first Christmas without my mom, hubby thought that we would celebrate my mom and also Christmas, we would come to Walt Disney World for the holiday.
I am so excited about coming and getting away from the stress of life. I find that with being at Disney World, I feel so stress free. Know what I mean?

I'm sorry about your mom. Being at Disney World during the holidays is pretty amazing, it'll be a great way to spend your time and to celebrate your mom! I agree with feeling stress-free at Disney. It's my happy place.

Sorry for your loss!! We went to Disney not long after my dad passed away as well. Just needed some happiness in our lives for all of us and a place to shut it all out and focus just on having fun. Don't feel bad about going and enjoying yourself!

I am so very sorry for your loss. My Mom passed away 2 weeks prior to a WDW trip, and while I remember very little about the trip itself, I do remember that I was stress free during that time my family was away from home. I did not know how exhausted both physically and and emotionally I was until we arrived and I was able to leave my reality behind.

I think that a Disney family vacation during what is already a very emotional time can be a respite for all of you and a lovely way to honor your Mom as well. If she provided you the means to take your family, I think that it is a gift she wanted you to have. I am glad you have something to look forward to!
