I am so addicted to Disney and the trip planning process that I have now resorted to creating our upcoming Disney Trip on a slide show with text/titles, music, etc. There is one slide show for each day.

I've got each day figured out - when will we go to the pool - when/where will we eat - what rides we'll ride and in what order....

As I create the detailed itineraries w/ pics and music, I then go back and watch them it's as if I am living through the magic!!!

Now, I'm done with ours...and I need a new trip to plan!!! Just so I can live vicariously through someone else's magical vacation!!!

How addicted are you to Disney????

Thats too funny I might have to do something like that and put it on DW's Zune and DD's I-pod for them.

They both think I'm bit over the top with the DIS and planning in general.

I hold right now with just some Excel spreadsheets for each trip and a few folders of info.

Got to love technology

Years ago, I used to do that but I cut pieces of paper, with everywhere we wanted to eat, 1/2 day parks and days of the week and arranged and rearranged on a board yill I had a viable plan. Tried to keep eating in general area we were at and making sure I had equal number of park mornings and evening as to catch it all. Now after 38 plus trips, we sort of just list the dining places, and we most always have AP's we just hop around, no more in depth plans since we've been so many times and know the ins and outs. Planning for a trip is essential, doing the homework at home and not in a park helps make the trip easier, getting orientated with maps before hand, checking out menus pre-trip saves alot of time and basically give you a good travelling, touring sense of how to do the World.

Wow! after 38 trips, you could do Disney w/ your eyes closed! You probably don't need to do much planning after so much experience!:)

And we're still learning. We do odd ball off the wall things now, putt putt, walking the Boardwalk, grabbing a burger at Beaches and Cream, a stroll through DTD, pizza and pitchers of beer at Trails End in FW, hitting the resort lounges for hand food and liabation, playing some games at Cr, oh, so many places and things. WE have done alot, basically know the parks like home but now we check out the small shops, little nooks and crannies and a big enjoyment is just sitting on difference benches and watching the people wander by, eating an ice cream cone, funnel cake or just reriding our favs over and over is fantastic. We never tire or have tired feet, spend time and explore our resort, mostly WL and do enjoy the pool, pop over to FW, grab some of that great chicken from Trails End, HDDR chicken, some rolls and cole slaw and have a picnic around the pool. So much fun to just relax and not worry about parks, attractions, ADR's.

That is so hillarious that you do that because...

Yesterday I was sitting around the house & I was kind of bored. My DH went to the gym to work out & my son was taking a nap. I was playing around on the computer & decided I was going to make a Powerpoint presentation of our upcoming trip to WDW in Oct. When my DH got home I showed him what I had started & he told me that I am crazy & I need to get a life.:rotfl:

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one out there.... ;)

I would totally love to see that Powerpoint!!!!! I LOVE Powerpoint.... What a great idea....

Well....it's not a powerpoint...it's from a software called Photostory that allows me to burn an actual DVD with menu's from the remote/etc.....but -- I don't know how to save it like a "show" (the way you can powerpoint) and send it or put it on the web.....

I'll save your info - if I ever get it burned to a DVD, I'll send it to ya!

Are you going to DISNEY anytime soon? Send me your itinerary and I'll make one for ya!!:yay:

I see you are from Missouri - I went to college there! Go Tigers go! And you are truly suffering from WDW-Addiction....You are offering to make time consuming presentations for others' trips!!!! SO, how detailed of an itinerary do you need??? ;-)

While we haven't done them for our upcoming trips (though we will if DW sees this post and gets the idea), DW's done the same thing for our past trips (a separate one for each park) and posted them on our site (if anyone's interested in seeing them feel free to PM us for the URL) and also burned them to a couple DVD's that we watch when we're needing a quick fix :thumbsup2

Yep...Missouri -- but I'm in the College town between Columbia and Kansas City --- I graduated from college over 10 years ago - met my husband - and still here! Never left...

For your itinerary I would need to know what TS's you want - and any other CS's or snack places you want to hit.

What resort you are staying at.

What parks on what days - what parades/fireworks you want to hit.
What time of the day do you want to go to each park each day: Opening - closing - emh?

and any other events that are important to you!!!

OOOH!! This is going to be fun! :cool1: :goodvibes

I'm so addicted to Disney that I want to name my next child Disney! :thumbsup2

That's great! You are a diser!!! We are all alike! We love to plan, and we plan like nobody. We plan our trips as soon as we get back from WDW!! I have learned so much from fellow disers. Just when I think I've gone so many times that I wouldn't forget anything, someone comes up with another brilliant tip for the trip!! I have all my itiniearies made for my May, Sept, Nov., and Dec trip for this year. I look at them everyday. Keep planning and making lists! It's us disers that have the best trips, right?

Wow that sounds totally awesome!!!
I would LOVE to do something like that but i've already made so many calenders and charts my family already thinks i've lost it :rotfl:
Oh well they'll appreciate it when we get there, right? LOL
