I am riding solo now a Complete TR, New Photos :)

Pictures are uploaded. I arrived at the DLH on Monday August 1 at 11:20 am. Check in took about 15 minutes. The rooms was not ready yet, but I was told it would be on the 5th floor Adventure tower, which to me was a perfect location. The view was of the pool construction and I was directly behind the Tiki Bar. The hotel is one of my favorite hotels in the world, I put it up there with the Grand Floridian in my book. I have never had a desire to stay at the Grand Cali as the room pictures just don't do it for me. The DLH does however make you feel special as you are surrounded by the magic, yet in a modern way, not in your face Disney like the old rooms were.

This bed is the one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in and I loved all the pillows! I truly felt like a Disney Diva here :goodvibes

This desk area was nice for me to get work done and the internet connection was super fast. I also appreciated all the plugs for my phone, ipad, etc.

I have pictures of the views I will post later on. This hotel was so quite, relaxing, and peaceful. I love that down the elevator the Tangaroa Terrace and Tiki Bar were a few steps away. I went down there every afternoon for a drink and even went down to the pool area once. It was way to crowded for me and it was super hot.

I went over to DL arrived in the parks right before noon. I was able to get my military salute 3 day hopper within a minute of being in line. I love that there is no tax on tickets in DL. At WDW I always get them at our base before going because they put tax on them. I was so excited to return to my favorite park. The first ride I went on was POTC. The wait time was 25 minutes. Let me tell you it was hot waiting in that line, it's like the heat followed me from Texas :lmao: This is my favorite version of this ride, with DLP version being right there with it. I love passing by the Blue Bayou and seeing the fire flys. I was annoyed that people kept taking flash pictures during the ride, come on people follow the rules!! I loved how some of the shots came out.

After POTC, I was starving and thristy. So I went to an ol fav The Hungry Bear and had the new fried green tomato sandwhich. Oh my it was wonderful, I cannot believe how good this was!! I highly recommend. I had a nice seat by the river and watched the boats go by as I ate my sandwhich and chatted with my DH on the phone. I could tell he was sad he wasn't with me.

The DLH really is beautiful. I really wanna stay there someday.
YUM I also just recently tried the fried green tomato sandwich and I agree, it is delicious!
Looking forward to more pictures!

The first night I went to dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. I was seated whithin 5 minutes and did not opt for the photo with Goofy:lmao: The food was excellent and the servers were really nice. I didn't feel out of place dining alone. Here are a few pics from dinner.

After dinner I went to DCA. I was shocked at the entranced and missed the CALIFORNIA letters. It looks just like DHS :confused3 Why oh why Disney did you mess up a good thing! Oh whatever I still love DCA even with the construction.

Here are photos from my solo dinner at Wine Country Trattoria. I had the World of Color dining package and it was a really nice experience. My server was really sweet and I felt like I was not in a theme park when I had dinner there. The atmosphere was more upscale but relaxed. For my appetizer I had the salad with feta, pecans, and some type of vinegarette dressing. For my entree I had the beef tenderloin, with potatoes (yummy), and green beans with minced garlic. The dessert was a sample platter. My meal overall was quite excellent and I would go back again!

Are you planning on posting any pictures of the Disneyland Hotel pool under construction and the two new eateries there? I'd love to see them!

Amazing pictures, thanks so much for posting! World of Color looks incredible! Currently my favorite Disney nighttime show is Illuminations at Epcot, with DL's Fantasmic! running a close second, but I have a feeling once I finally get to see WoC, I may have a new fave!

I am telling you it was just breathtaking!

:goodvibesMore pics to come

Can't wait.

Was the DLH pool area a disaster with the crowds? I imagine with it being summer and a lot of the pool area still in rehab, not much area to spread out.

Really good room pictures!

Really good room pictures!

You know there was just a small pool behind the huge slide. It was all walled off from construction where the pool was so it was pretty awful. All of the chairs and cabanas look at the slide area. Of course there was no where to sit! So if you are going to DLH and want a relaxing pool scene you may want to stay somewhere else. Another lady there at a convention told me that she was going to the pool at the GCH instead and she wanted to just relax not look at a slide with screaming kiddos everywhere.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing. You and your husband are a super cute couple. :)
