I am once again saddened.

I hate double standards, but I fear that I have become a victim of one. What do you all do when you find out that something you had placed trust in is not what you seemed it was in the first place?

Just trying to vent here. I'm very very upset about a chain of events that has occurred today that I really can't go into details on.

Well, it is difficult to find out soemone that you trusted wasn't worthy of your trust.

I usually try to look at the whole situation in hindsight and see if I missed anything that may have pointed to them being unworthy of my trust.

All you can do is learn from those types of situations.

I know that feelings of betrayal, whether by someone or some thing, wounds one to the core and can be very difficult to get over.

I hope you can get over this situation without too much damage in your ability to trust again.

Double standards exist everywhere I'm afraid. I know that they're hard to deal with but I don't think there's any way to get away from it. And after all, the end result is really the same.
