Listen, they can't ban people instantly. There are four thousand other people in the kingdom, and probably around 750 of them are doing something like that.

I am willing to bet that there isnt 750 people doing what these people were...

and yes they can BAN instantly...

AND when you have many many people ALL reporting the SAME people it seems to me that should be a RED FLAG to who ever is 'in charge' for the night....

Quite vulgar indeed. At one point insulting the Disney company itself. And there is actually 2 of them...maybe more. Unless somebody can type on two computers at once. I was in a room with one of them, and a friend in another and they were talking at the same time.

The big problem is I tell everybody to ignore and they say they do, but they are not and then they start responding to the offender who of course likes that so he can say more. -_-'

Some people, I've noticed, are making matters worse by responding offensively in return. I warn them that they will also get in trouble if they do so. No one listens.

Also, if only one person is involved in this, they may be using Firefox. You can open as many VMK windows as you like with this browser, therefore allowing you to sign in on multiple players.

First... It is safe to repeat exactly what an offensive guest has said in your report (no where else even here!!!) , just make sure you say.. This person Said this...

Hula says they get a million of... "this person is saying something bad"... and it doesn help them narrow it down, so the more details you give in the report the better and you wont get in trouble for saying the bad thing IN the report. (if true of course)

Second... It is NOT good for a million people to ALL report someone over and over... ONE Detail report is all they really need. The reason.... The person who gets the report sees basiclly what we do in the report window, and they pile up... and they cant look at the next report until the deal with the report right in front of them, they CANT skip around, first to pop up first to be addressed... so FEWER MORE DETAIL reports works best for them. They have to check them out as they go... and cant move on until that is done....

and lastly... what happened tonight was complicated... lots of people lots of computers, lots of reports flying... back log...

Hula really liked the little plan to move the text up and out fast... Bug, SLink, Rob and others caught on quick... Just type a simple " . " over and over (careful not to get a typing ticket of course lol) with a few freinds this system can move the offending text up quickly with less chance of little kids being able to read it.. Some CL's were there telling people to ignore and not to talk to them and a small crew doing the " . " system took a lot of these idiots steam away from them....


I am sooooo soooo thankful Hula came by to talk to us. I am still very frustrated with the whole reporting situtation, but there is not much that can be done about it... it is going to happen, and now we all know the MORE DETAILS IN THE REPORT THE BETTER!!!! AND.... It was so great that so many great VMKer's pulled together and found these idiots and moved their text up and out! YAYAAYAY FOR THE GOOD PEOPLE OF VMK!!!! YAYAYA!!!

Look in the players guide for the link to Play Full Screen. Open multiple windows (my computer is decent but can barely handle two windows for long and adds lag) without signing on, just get the name in maybe. After they are open then sign on one at a time.

Or do as me, and use vmk Pal. But that's another discussion. You don't have to have them open ahead of time for pal to work on two characters.

Glad I was busy with Pirates and missed the mess. No wonder Hula was hanging out on Main Street. Glad you're feeling better Bears!

Thanks for passing along this information, Laurabearz! It was very informative. Personally, I've always felt hesitant to repeat what others have said when writing up my reports, mostly in fear of being looked down upon or possibly punished by staff. Also, I figured staff would just look at the time the report was sent and then refer back to the dialogue of the accused person in that specific range of time. But you learn something new everyday!

Yes it was not a boring night tonight. I too am glad that Hula came to see us. It is nice to know that if i have to report which i hate i can let then know excatly what was said. Was bad tonight although bears and I have seen 1 other night worst. I always thought that we could get banned if we said in the report what we saw. Thanks Hula!

Was very busy. I know they do not like mules but I kept ace in the room with bears and others to help move up the text and had another screen open with my other peep which i use a lot too and he was jumping from lobby to lobby looking for the bad peeps. When he found them I would spread the word. i was getting dizzy all the lobby hopping.

We will never stop this kind of stuff as there will always be another who will try. Good to know we all pull together and helped out.

Now for the joke I told bears to try and help end the night on a smile. Every night bears and I play pirates to work on credits. We do pretty good. Well we did not play at all tonight. Was too busy hopping crazy and moving text up. So I asked bears where should we send the bill to for the credits we lost protecting the streets of VMK. We lost probably 3000 credits each

I know I'm beating a dead horse but I just can't help it. If, as Hula says, they get a ton of reports all the time, then it is even more frustrating how they treated Grumpy. Nobody reported Grumpy at all. Nobody was offended by what Grumpy said. Nobody was under 21 in a private room of friends. And yet they not only banned him with lightning speed but had a host show up to scold us about wondering why they banned him. It would be freaking hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic.

Oh well, I guess I need to get over it and move on. I really like the idea of bumping the text up and out and I will definitely try that next time I see someone breaking values in such a way. Thanks for that info Laurabearz.

Well when i stumbled accross them i was looking for a place to sit with Christmas music while I enetered codes there were 6 of them all huddled in a group. That is when I yelled into slinks room and said come look at this something is up. The rest is history as they say.

First of all, there are usually only two or three members of staff working at any one time. With over 3,000 players, they must decide which issue is most important and which is not. Report them, yes. But be patient as well. Use the ignore button and tell everyone in the room to do the same. It's not much fun for the 'guest' to talk to a room full of people who can't see their text and respond.
Ignore button...It really is your best friend!

Well if the staff is so small, maybe their time would be better spent answering the reports than reading what is going on in private rooms, instantly banning and then taking the time to come into the room and scold the others left behind for TALKING about the ban!!! I bet if they would not busy themselves with eavesdropping alot of those unanswered reports would be able to be answered. - To my pirate dis buds! We love ya travelocity! -

Why would VMK be acting so quickly with Grumpy and not with those people? I didn't see them myself tonight, but I belive they were really bad. But what happened in a private room with no reports to VMK staff. I know that staff can, and may be, watching us at any time, but there doesn't seem to be any consistant pattern to what happens to people that seem to be breaking the rules. Unless there is more to the story, Grumpy got banned for saying something that wasn't very bad in a private room of adult players, but those guests remained on Public main street possibly full of little kids saying really awful things for quite a while. Couldn't VMK have muted them like I've seen happen in other rooms before? Then no matter how hard they tried to say anything, nobody but VMK staff could see what they said? Then they wouldn't be getting attention from players who say they hit the ignore button but didn't, and staff could then take the time to go through the reports while the guests can't offend anyone's eyes with their chat.

I think there are some phrases that set off automatic warnings/bans. Like as far as I know, everytime someone says "make out" or "how many ears are you" they get a warning. Maybe if they've had other warnings, it does an automatic ban. So maybe these people weren't doing automatic phrases, or not using them enough times to get banned.
