I am liking the combo of FP+ and the DAS!

Are some people really saying that people with a das (that can't queue) should queue in a line like that to
First get a return time
Second wait until the return time (queuing still)
Third queue again in a queue like this......

So instead of a standby wait that is maybe 30 mins a person with a das will be waiting for probably 1 hour 20mins.....
For a child who has a hidden disablity that will use aggressive behaviour towards others when in a queue this is a really bad policy and is descrimination. It makes me sad.

So yes I do think that people with a das or wheelchair pass SHOULD go straight to the front of the podium.
To the people who don't have to use a das or wheel chair pass and have your health you really don't know how lucky you are.

You don't wait in the queue to get a DAS Return Time.
There will be a person near the Fastpass area with a clipboard. That is who you get the return time from.
Someone else in the group can take the DAS and get the DAS Return Time without the person whose name is on the DAS.

There is no need to stay in the area and queue until the DAS Return Time comes. You can wait wherever you want.
In your example, if the Standby wait is 30 minutes, the DAS Return Time would be 20 minutes in the future (not 1 hour and 20 minutes). Some people can do a 30 minute standby wait time in some lines, do would choose to do that.

And, when you come back, as I pointed out in post 2 and in a few posts just before this one, the Fastpass Return line shown in the video is probably not exactly what it appears to be. In most cases, the end of the line will be at the podium

It's not discrimination. I wish people would quit using that word so inappropriately. It takes away from actual cases of discrimination.

Sue's post above outlines the DAS process well. There are going to be times when people have to do some waiting whether they have a DAS or not. It comes with the territory if a theme park.

I also agree with Sue that people hang out in the area while waiting, making it appear there is a long line when there isn't. We saw it happen at TT a few weekends ago. My husband jumped into the back of what appeared to be a line, but it was just a large congregation of people near the entrance. Realizing it, we walked up to the FP scanner where there was in fact no line at all.
