I am having SOOO much trouble booking the 150$ gift card deal at the DLH!!!!

First I called the Disney Hotel number...she booked my stay Jan. 23-Jan 27 with my AAA discount but didn't mention the 150$ gift card, so I asked...she said they didn't do those, only the Walt Disney Travel Co. did. She said she could call and check on it...I said, Ok, she came back and said they only could do it for PP or GCH. I said I'd call back.

So I checked Expedia, they had the deal on there for the DLH BUT do not offer a AAA discount so it's just the rack rate which I don't want to pay.

I called the Walt Disney Travel co. just to check and she said they do have the DLH available for my dates and do have the $150 gift card BUT you have to book hoppers with them as well, which I already have.... AAAAAAAAHHHH!

Any ideas or input??

You can book hotel only wuth Southwest Airlines vacations or United Airvacations. You can try there. I don't know if they have any availability.

Call back and get another person and see what they say, if they still won't give it to you ask for a supervisor......that usally works.

The fine print doesnt say anything about needing to include hoppers. I would call again and point that out to them. It also doesn't say anything about having to book thru Disney travel.

I know that during this promotion last year you got your card when you checked in. It didnt matter who you booked thru, they gave it to you there. MIght be the case again this year, and who ever you talked to just didnt realize it.

While it does not say anything about needing to purchase hoppers, it does state that the deal cannot be combined with any other hotel offer, discount, or promotion. Maybe it's a one or the other thing. Do you know if anyone has been able to get the gift card deal with AAA rates?

The $150 gift card can not be combined with any promo such as aaa or ap rates. We had this issue last year and ended up booking via getawaytoday and getting the $150 gift card that way. We are planning a trip in Feb and for 4 nights at PPH, it's $845 plus the $150 gift card, so $695 if you subtract the gift card.

You can also get the $150 gift card by booking through Dreams Unlimited Travel, since we book through the Walt Disney Travel Company. The promotion goes through April 26th, and is only good when booking a package at one of the 3 Disneyland Resort Hotels. The other promotion going on at the same time is everyone plays at the kids price - same time period - for 3+ day park hoppers - oh and the kids fly free on Alaska Airlines.

We're AP holders and we booked PP through Walt Disney Travel Co for Jan 19-23rd. We got the $150 gift card, without booking park hoppers.
I'd call back and get a different rep.

That is not true. You can get it by book room only thru Expedia or other simular online booking agents.

We didn't get parkhoppers and booked for hotel only and we got the $150 gift card at check in.

Well, they absolutely won't give it to me!

She pulled up the website link and still told me she can't give it to me. (This is Walt Disney Travel Co.) I tried Central Reservations too and they wouldn't give it to me either. Oh well! Thanks for all your help. Looks like Disney would rather I give my money to the Howard Johnson.

Not sure what rate they gave you for the AAA rate, but expedia has those nights for $245 per night, and you would get the $150 gift card. Might be worth it to cancel your res. and rebook with them.

I compared my rate through AAA with no gift card to getaway today and disney travel and they were more then $150 more for the package , so I did not want to spend about 200 more to get a 150.00 card.
