CONGRATS! I spent a month deciding between CR, CSR, and POLY too, and one day woke up and said, "i'm gonna do it" and spent the extra money for the POLY. hope its worth it, havent been since i was a little kid!

Yeah for you! The Polynesian is my favorite resort. After our first stay there, I never wanted to stay or try anywhere else. The resort is incrediably relaxed, and nothing beats the location and quick modes of transportation to the MK, TTC and Epcot. We especially love the grounds and all the meandering walkways. Nighttime walks with the lit tiki torches, softly heard music, and views of Cinderella's Castle, the GF, the CR, and ferry are very romantic. We especially love the size of the rooms. That extra space and day bed makes such a difference with the kids. I too have a 14 yo son, and trips to the Arcade and free refills of soda are two of his favorite things at the Poly. There are certain days at 2 or 3 when the kids get free play at the arcade. The volcano pool is popular with him too. And the torch lighting ceremony at 6 might be something you and the kids would enjoy. Wishing you a wonderful stay in July! Practice your aloha's before you go!

I'm soooooo jealous. The Poly is our favorite. We're staying at the BC this summer just to try something different, but I know I'm going to miss staying at the Polly. If you hadn't already, you can call disney reservations back and request a long house. You will also have to call the hotel the week before and make the request again. I would request Rarotonga. It's the most centrally located at the resort. Right next to the main lodge, and close to the 2 main pools. It's popular so if your interested, I would do it right away.

That's great! We've stayed at both the Dolphin and Poly and you are gonig to love both. The Poly has more Disney "Magic" and the location can't be beat.

My 10 year old thought the arcade was fine, but it didn't blow him away. That said, I played the pinball machine for hours (you can take the boy out of the 70's, but you can't take the 70's out of the boy)

I'm certain you'll have a wonderful time. Don't forget to hit the beach for fireworks, unless you're already at MK. Make sure you eat at Kona Cafe for dinner and get one of those fantastic desserts!
