I am going to enter a 5K walk!!!!

Ok gang I just found out there is a 5K walk in Pittsburgh on May 24. I am going to register!!! I don't know yet if I am going to be able to make it for the 1/2 marathon but just in case I thought I may as well enter some of these walks just in case. So I guess since it is in 16 days I had better get busy finding sponsors!!!! But I just have one question. How far is 5K????

I dunno how far 5 K is, but I am proud of you for trying this. There is one here in two weeks and I did not join it because...well I am a chicken. Next one, I see I will try.

You can do it! Let me tell you that you will feel SO PROUD OF YOURSELF when you cross the finish line! Be prepared to soar and not feel your feet touch the ground for the rest of the day!

OK I can do 3 miles!!!! not a problem!!! I did 3 miles last weekend at my mom's!! Ok so it took an hour. But I didn't push it and I had the dog with me. SO I am going to aim for finishing in under an hour!!! IT benefits of of 8 charities and you get to pick. I am going to walk for a group called working hearts. They promote Women's heart health and research so that women are aware of the risks and chances of heart disease in women. I looked at the list and since they seemed to be the smallest group I figured even if I only get $5 from myself it would be a great cause!!!! I will have to let you know how I do!!

Hey I am thinking about the 1/2 marathon. DH and I are discussing the feasability of finances to see if we can go for the marathon/ Right now we are at a 50/50 chance!!!

5K is 3.1 miles. I did one a few weeks ago (first one) and am doing another this Saturday. Then a third in about 11 days. They become addictive.
