Hi all! I am very excited to say I just booked my trip last night with my best friend for August 6-11.
I haven't been there in 9 years, so I have some questions.
For EMH days at any and all the parks on various days, do you reccomend going to them? Or avoiding them... I've heard both sides...

Also, my friend and I are staying off site for budget reasons. There is a free shuttle service to Disney. Does anyone have any reccomendations on getting fromt he airport to my hotel? It is right across from the Disney World complex on Rt. 535.

Any advice would be appreciated! We are very excited!! :thumbsup2

First--if you are not staying on Disney Property--other than the Hilton at Downtown Disney---you are not able to partake of the EMH. They are for Disney resort guests only. We do go to the EM evening hours parks because we are not commando park people and like to just stroll and look. It gives us extra time. Plus about an hour before the end of extra magic hours the parks really do empty out.

Since you can not use the EMH I would not go to a park that was offering them. They do tend to be a bit more crowded.

The best way to get to an off site resort is to rent a car. If that is not possible you need to make certain that your resort has transportation to the parks. From the airport I would go with Mears Transportation. They have have vans and buses and individual cars...whatever you want and they are pretty reasonably priced.

Must admit not too bothered about the EMH, but we tend to stay for 3 weeks at a time so don't really need to do them. As for the transport from OIA to your hotel, have a look at Mears. They do a shared shuttle ride which is really quite reasonable. With any luck you will be the first or second ones they drop off!! You can book with them on their web site and just go to the automatic ticket machine on level 1 and it tells you the bay to go to outside. Have a fab time...:dance3:

Morning EMH- do them. Evening- we avoid them- way too crowded because evryone starts "hopping" from all the parks that are closing for the night. The parks that have EMH's that day tend to be more croded all day also- because people without hoppers pick those days for the longer hours. I would suggest Mears from the airport. That is who we always used untill magical express was created.

Thanks everyone for the info.
Thanks for letting me know about EMH.... I wish I was staying on site. I really wanted to stay on site, but it wasn't affordable. Even with a discount, all of the value's were over 115 a night. Which on a normal person's budget, would be awesome!

I'll look into Mears. How much is cab service from Disney to say the Kissimmee area?
