i am asking my dgf to marry me may 9th in mk

well now that i have been online all night completely manic about making everything perfect. i read last night you can rent the rose garden. i will make some calls today while she is at work. the rose garden is alot easier for people to find and more romantic. i also heard you can hire a disney photographer. lots of work to perfect this. thank you so much for your kind words. :goodvibes

Same here! I got proposed to in our bedroom, while watching TV.
you mean, it never goes away? It's been three years for me, and it still hurts :rotfl2:

pshhh, i was on my couch in pajamas watching chelsea lately and he rolled in the door after a night at the bar with his friends and just blurted it out :lmao: i told him was drunk and lying, lol. i didn't believe him, it took him 2 hours to convince me he was being for real.

that's a fairytale right there :rotfl:

he re-did it with the ring in wdw at the request of the stepsisters! they asked if he proposed properly and i told them no. they grabbed us by the arms and marched us to the wishing well and told him to do it properly. it was quite the experience!! but the damage had already been done :rotfl2:

we'll definately try to make it for this "proper" engagement!

Congratulations! She'll love this! :goodvibes

Well, let us know the final place for the proposal... I, too, will be @ Disney (a late booked work conference starting the 8th) and hadn't made any plans yet. Now I know what I'm doing Monday night! Oh, and May 9, 1992, is the date I got engaged!! Nice job putting this all together, I'm sure she will be so surprised!!

it sounds perfect!!!! we will be in MK that night but will be at the dessert party. Im sure it will be magical either way! Cant wait to hear how it goes.
Congrats, theres no better place to propose! =)
:thumbsup2

yall will HAVE to be there. i really want to hear that story in person. :rotfl2: i am sure there were some things said that you cannot write on here lol

Congrats! We will be there as well! Celebrating our 1 year anniversary. Keep us posted on the plans and we'll try to be over there to witness the "surprise"! Look for the LGMH's on the pin covered backpack. :cool1:

Great plan! I proposed to my fiance this past October in the GF lobby. It will make for a great vacation and memory -- enjoy every moment of it!

That's awesome!
My husband proposed to be in front of the castle at Disneyland almost 7 years ago, I'll never forget it. :)

Congrats to you both and great job on the planning.

sounds great. I will be there 10 days too late. I love the Lenox slipper that is a ring holder seen here.

My Dh put my engagement ring in a pill vile and told me it was the antibiotic to fight against anthrax if I got it.... I like your idea much better.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm sorry but I love that and it isn't something you will ever likely forget.

:thumbsup2 Either way you finally have it set up it is a memory that she will treasure and love forever.

If you rent the rose garden will she immediately think something is up? What if your friends surprise her earlier that day and then all of you enjoy the rose garden so it doesn't seem odd that you are in there by yourselves? Just thinking aloud.

i am starting to think that as well. i dont think the rose garden idea will be ideal. becasue i dont think the view of the castle would be ideal for magic memories and you. i think its going to happen at the original spot. 10 feet infront the mickey and walt statue. dead on infront the castle. an optimal viewing spot and room so the friends can sneak into place.

this is the most exciting thing i have prepared for in my life.

this is our physical description. she is 5'8'' slim, blonde hair with glasses
i am 5'11'' black hair slim. i will have my favorite plaid disney shorts on and i will be the sobbing uncontrollably throughout the show lol. i dont know if i will be able to get the words out. i can see it now, skip goes to one knee crying his eyes out, snot bubbles coming out his nose... great pictures hahahahaha:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:
