Hello. My name is Lisa and I am a Disney Plan-Aholic.

At least I am not alone.

DH just shakes his head and laughs. But wait till he sees how much fun we'll have. Our first visit ever 2 years ago was wonderful--and that was without the benefit of the DIS boards and all the things I have learned. I didn't know anything last time except to call 90 days out for my CRT.

I have also scheduled and rescheduled my PS's until I am certain the folks there think I am insane. I always wonder if they can see all of my phone activity when I type in my phone number at the beginning of the automated system.

PS--I always cancel all of my PS's once I get the new ones....its just the fair thing to do.

Don't you just love the DIS?! A place where we can commiserate and delight in our obsession. A place where we can get every detail of every day planned down to the very last hour! A place where WDW fanatics can unite without fear of hearing, "What? You're going to vacation in FL again?

Hi, My name is Kim and I to and am a Disney Plan-A-Holic!!!

My DH and kids think I am nuts, but once we are there and everything runs smoothly and we don't have to wait for seating cause I have made PS's and I know what time all the parades are and when the parks close.....etc

They tell me I am the Queen princess:

BTW I do not plan to seek help for my addiction cause I have too much fun :earboy2:

Hello~

I am a disney planning addict as well. I have my trips planned out well in advance, use the park hours once they are available to fine tune and also complete all PS's exactly 90 days out. My DH thinks I am slightly (well more than slightly) obsessed, but seems to enjoy how smoothly our trips go.

I am glad I am not alone. :cool1:

Count me in? I am a plan-a-holic, and proud of it. I think back to our first trip when all I did was browse the Unofficial Guide on the airplane (I didn't even read it in full). We spent hours in line (of course, this was pre-fastpass), and were exhausted by days end. Fast forward to our trips now. I know which park has EMH (a.m. or p.m.), when shows should be, which parks are best on which days, etc. I have never been to a water park, but I think I can navigate each of them w/o a map because I have memorized the map on line. Stephen thinks I go overboard, but he even admits that the trips with planning have been far more enjoyable than the first, non-planned trip. About thirty days before our vacation he starts asking for my "Disney Minute." I tell him a little tidbit I learned that he didn't know about, i.e. there is a new drink station at the Beach Club store where you can buy refillable mugs, etc., each night before we go to sleep. It's his way to get excited for the trip, and allow me to share (bore him) information with him that I have been learning the past year.

I just love planning!

Hi, My name is Meg, and I, too am a Disney plan-aholic. I'm afraid its genetic, because my youngest sister is a Disney plan-aholic, too. I, however, have a different twist to my problem. Unlike when my 7 year old was a toddler, and we had to follow an exact plan in order to accomodate her mealtimes, bedtimes, naptimes, and need to ride Dumbo 10 times, we can now be more flexible. SO... I plan for months at a time. I plan arrival times, meal times, and touring plans for the parks. Bedtimes, wakeup calls, resort rest times, and when to view the fireworks at each park, etc. etc. etc. THEN..... when we arrive, we basically ignore most of it (except for PS), and let the magic of Disney dictate where we linger, and when we park hop. Crazy, huh?

"Hello LUV8" you are not alone.... We meet daily on this board!! If you need a personal sponsor ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I am sure we can accomodate :rotfl: you!!!

My name is Deb and I also am a plan a holic. I not only plan I pack. We own a short term rental in Emerald Island and have decided that we will go down and twice a year cuz we can. My husband is the type to never vacation. We have been married for 16 years and he now will be joining me and the kids twice a year.
I not only plan for us 5 but our home has room for 12 and we never leave a bed empty. Our friends and family also join us in our plans. I am the official tour guide. I make all the reservations and plane fare purchases.
I don't only pack for us but I have a locked closet in our home for just our use and pack that also. Thank god it is a walk in closet!!! My luggage is never closed I don't care how long away we are going. I see something fun for the house I pick it up. My friends and family know that they are going down with additional suit cases. My family went down with 12 and our friends had 3 additional items. They are still my friends so they must really love me!!! I pack all year long. I love bringing things for the kids once we get down there.
The airport where I live checked through 5 out of the 12 I brought down. I brought a pail with all playdough and items to play playdough. What a big mistake that was!!! I thought the people at theairport were going to kill me by the time the 12th peice of luggage went thru. They just laughed they said I must be packing for a move. I didn't tell them this was not all.
People who rent my house love th library of tapes and dvd's it has. I know what it is like to have children who need to keep busy on vacation so I try to provide the fun. My all time favorite is pool toys. You can not have enough pool toys. All of this of course comes on the plane with us. You can bring 3 peices of luggage on per person. So I take advantage of the free shipping.
Well got to go I am leaving Sept. 29th and need to get back to my planning and packing. Less then 5 months and have much to do.

Hi, my name is Christine, and at the young age of 18, im already a planning addict. Im planning for january, and have been on this forum and many disney sites every day til god knows what hour at night (and to the morning sometimes!) just looking up stuff for the trip. That isnt even booked yet.

Thanks for the invitation,L107ANGEL. My sister and I sometimes wonder if there is some type of post-hypnotic, subliminal suggestion at work that makes us only exist in the mindset of "Oh, yeah. I remember when (fill in the blank) happened because that was between the 3rd and 4th Disney vacation." We imagine hidden mickeys where there really are none, and catch ourselves humming the Splash Mountain music under times of great stress. IS IT A SICKNESS?

I know how you feel. I love planning my trips. I had everything on cards with times as to when I was going to get to certain rides. By doing that, I was able to get to everything I wanted to do on my last trip.

Don't feel bad. You are in good company!

My name is Beverly, and I am NOT an addict. The fact that I do it late at night when I am alone, and hide it from other people does not make me an addict :cool1: .

I can stop anytime I want to. I just don't want to. :rolleyes1

It makes me feel good. :cloud9:

We aren't going back until November and I am lost right now. Still DISing daily, but too early to do anything constructive. Can't worry about PSs, can't think about EMH, can't get TourGuideMiKE to e-mail me back with my discount code so I can re-subscribe.

Last year we went 4 times, and now there is an 11-month gap. It is too much to bear.

DISNEYEVERYYEAR,
THAT IS SO HYSTERCIAL!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :wave2:
