Let me begin by acknowledging I did something very stupid with my points usage that now has me on the verge of seeing 122 points being lost without being able to use them--I'm such an idiot.

So here's what happened: The moment Disney announced it would reopen the parks in July, I immediately booked a 7 night stay for mid-July. I was so proud of myself for being on top of the opportunity. But what an idiot--I borrowed points from my DEC 2020 Use Year, not knowing the catastrophic consequences should I need to cancel--which I did today, after discovering no park availability for my dates (duh!! Who could have predicted that?!). So now, I have 127 points sitting in my Dec. 2019 Use Year and only 5 of them are eligible to bank to Dec. 2020. And there is NO WAY I will be able to use my points by Dec. 2019--so as I understand it--all of those points will VANISH--Poof--gone--Money down the drain. What a moron I am!!!

I don't suppose I'll have any luck throwing myself on the mercy of guest services to undo my stupidity. It might be time to sell my timeshare--I clearly don't know what I'm doing...HEAVY SIGH!!

You are in luck. Right now, they have changed the borrowing policy during this crisis.

call MS and have them cancel, they will put the points back! It could change any day, but all borrowed points are being returned!

Why do you say there is no park availability? If you are a resort guest all parks are available.
I think the confusion is the calendar link on MDE takes you to a calendar where you do not have the ability to click the resort guest button.
I posted the below on another thread
Here is the link that takes you to the calendar where you can click on "Resort Guest" and it currently shows availability for all parks for days where the parks are open.
There is a different calendar that does not have the resort guest option and that other calendar is the one that shows all parks as unavailable. Note: The link on MDE takes you to this other calendar that does not have the resort guest option

ETA: does not seem to work in the Microsoft Edge browser, but does work in Firefox and Chrome.

Well, that information is helpful and a little annoying. Yes, I was fooled by the wrong calendar, so I thought nothing was available!! So, I COULD have gotten in after all!! Oh goodness...

In the meantime, I cancelled everything. On the bright side, I did get to "unborrow" my points. So all is not lost...

You have had quite the roller coaster! Glad it all (mostly?) worked out.
