I worship them:worship: As I posted on another thread, my mom is critically ill in the ICU. The nurses are so amazing, along with everyone else..the assistants, the resp therapist, the Drs. They all have been so kind to us and more importantly to my mom. I am so grateful it makes me cry. There's a special place in Heaven for them.

There is nothing better than a person who works their true calling. I'm so glad you have that available for your mom.

I agree. I have been dealing with advanced stage cancer for 5 years now. The oncology nurses are amazing and the nurses I had during my last hospital stay were so great that I wanted to keep them forever.

I could never do this work, not in a million years. They work long shifts, are constantly on their feet, deal with demand after demand (and I'm sure plenty of unpleasant patients) and they show such compassion.

So thanks to all of the nurses.

I loved my nurses when I've been in the hospital! I'm friends with some of them now on FB and I go visit them when I go back to the hospital. Those are the people who make being really sick, a little less sucky.

But then again, you also get what you give. I've found the nicer and more pleasant I am to them, the nicer and more pleasant they are to me.

I couldn't agree more, and truly believe it is a calling and a gift they share with patients and families.

I really appreciate all the nurses who took care of me during all my surgeries 2 years ago, and since I had 7 in one year I knew alot of them.

The ICU nurses were the best too.

krcit (from your other thread). I would question the emergency treatment too. Was this in Suffolk County?

AMEN :littleangel: !! Eighteen mos ago my dear soul mate lay with a raging fever of 105.6* in ICU. Praise God, it took 3 hospitals, many good drs, dedicated nurses & staff, meds, tests, and lots of prayers to mend him back good as new. Keep the faith, lots of prayers to your dear Mom, you, and her care givers she'll be as blessed.

ITA and I worship nurses too. My DS, now 17, spent his first three months of life in the NICU, being cared for by a bunch of the most dedicated and competent nurses ever. On top of that, they made the entire process so much more bearable for my DH and I because they cared. I will never forget them.
