I actually cooked dinner tonight!

I had the day off so I picked up a recipe book, bought the ingredients, and cooked dinner from scratch. For the first time nothing burned or caught on fire, and we didn't have to make an emergency run to Pizza Hut! I made the Maple Glazed Salmon from the F&W Fest cookbook and it actually tasted good! DH wants to throw a dinner party to he can show my cooking skills off to his friends

I'm pretty proud of myself right now . I just hope I don't burn dinner tomorrow!

Good for you! It's such a good feeling when you cook a perfect meal! I just started getting into cooking myself, and I'm really enjoying it. I'm starting off with simple stuff, and I want to work myself up to more fancy stuff. Baby steps, lol!
