I’m so excited to own direct points at VGF.. who else is celebrating with me?

Me!!! New member here, just about to sign the contract (waiting so my 10 days are in the new incentives window, but with the price increase I find it very hard to believe they could be any better)! I never thought I would be able, to even consider direct, but the price was just too good when running all the numbers! Considering it's an MK resort and has my favorite rooms no resale restrictions, and getting a -Y on that membership card, I just couldn't talk myself out of it!! I had tried to tell myself the that "membership" extras weren't that important, but part of wanting DVC was to be able to be part of this club, and now there is no justifying, I am!

Congratulations & welcome home!! 🎊🍾🎈🎉
Your situation sounds exactly like mine. Never really cared about direct benefits and not willing to overpay for points buying direct, but the incentives literally made it a no brainer.

Completely financially based decision, the member benefits played no part in the decision to buy direct, UNTIL it became a real possibility, the thought of having the blue card and no resale limitations, kicked any doubt right over he edge.

Once the numbers made sense, all the benefits were glorious “extras” which made me as excited as a kid on Christmas Day (truly!). Having my account & points in minutes absolutely blew my mind! And seeing the Blue Card in my account?? Priceless

I too don’t think the incentives will be better but I’m not even signing until the 12th, which, coincidentally, is my birthday 🥳😂. We shall see! Couldn’t be happier I finally did it!
Welcome home neighbor!! ❤️🥰❤️

Wow our stories really are alike. Too funny, I decided to wait to sign until my birthday also, which is today! Not that I needed even more justification, but it seemed to all fit together quite nicely!
Happy Birthday and Welcome Home! Congratulations!!

Congratulations on your baby & DVC! Interestingly enough, the lounge was the number 1 thing my boys (grown) asked about. Esp at Epcot on hot days, that lounge is soooooo incredibly nice! As an aside, I bought DVC in 2009 when my boys were smallish, and they have grown up Disney (spoiled due to my addiction lol) and they turned out to be magnificent human beings. Not saying it is because of Disney, but no proof it isn't either :)
Wait until you go to the lounge in Disneyland. Much upgraded over the one in EPCOT (mainly because it has it's own bathroom and also because there, at least for now, haven't been any waiting periods to have to go up there).

Soooooo funny you’d mention that. I’m going to DL for my birthday on 9/12. I had completely forgotten they added a lounge there and wasn’t even sure if it was open yet (been out of the loop on DL when my CM career ended). Much to my surprise I saw it and flipped out!

So now I’ve gotta make sure I pay my deposit on 9/11 (was going to wait but truly don’t see the incentives getting better) so I for sure can visit it. I’m taking my sister and nephew there for the first time! They’re going to be spoiled from day 1 😂😂. Also going to check out VDH in person just to make sure I don’t need points there too lol

I was just at DL this past weekend. They are not giving tours at VDH at the moment because they are still under construction I was told. I can't recall when they said tours would be available, but I think it was later than 9/12. Not for sure though.

DVC lounge was nice. Quite a lot of people there. I haven't been to the Epcot lounge yet.

Officially celebrating now! Just signed our contracts today after waiting a bit to make sure we could be within the 10 days before new incentives are announced. To my surprise, member services was able to book our welcome home stay at VDH in November. I’ve also already booked our spring break trip at our home resort, VGF. Can’t wait!

Already thinking about VDH points.... I love it :)

And yes, be careful about visiting the Disneyland DVC lounge. It will spoil you vs the Epcot lounge. It's way better....

If the weather is nice, get some food and bring it up and eat it outside. It's a beautiful view and it's always empty out there. We like to mobile order at the galactic grill and take it up.
