I’m so excited to own direct points at VGF.. who else is celebrating with me?

I am! So are my wife and kids. Now that we can split our trips throughout the year just makes it more fun. We’ve been spending way too much money to go to the panhandle of Florida at spring break so now I have someplace I actually want to go😜

Super happy to own DVC, and love VGF!

Glad to be able to enjoy many memorable trips in the future, and leave my kids with the opportunity to enjoy Disney with their families.

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am buying direct. I’ve owned resale and LOVED then but it’s like a whole new world opened up for me. Who else is thrilled to drop $25k on a luxury purchase, ❤️

Congrats!

I owe resale at SSR and have really enjoyed it. However, as a Disney person I did have a little FOMO not having the full direct benefits. Even just being able to pop in to the Epcot lounge or get the free popcorn refill at Aulani makes me happy Is something.

We now have 210 direct points at VGF and I am so happy since GF is my absolute favorite! I love how beautiful it looks on a sunny day. We are booked in a one bedroom for Easter week and I can’t wait to stay there for a full week. We usually do split stays and have only done 2 nights at the most.

We are also heading to Aulani in Nov. and I can’t wait to get my sparkly wrist band, get free popcorn refills and go to whatever members events they have.

We broke up our contract into 3 payments on our Disney visa. I actually just paid one this morning and said to myself “Wow that’s a lot of money“ and then thought “but it’s absolutely worth it!”

Love my DVC!

It’s the only big amount I don’t mind paying.. weird right? Congratulations 🍾🎊🎈🎉

Before when I had resale my life was 7/10.

Now that I bought direct my life is 11/10!!!
Agree 100%
Resale points are awesome, but being “included” in all events and resorts & perks is just amazing!

The first thing my boys asked is “Do we get to go to the lounge again?” Funny how the little things mean a lot. And by a lot I mean money 😂

My DH was thrilled when I convinced him it was the right time to buy VGF with this summer's incentives. I wanted more points for a while as we had our first child this summer and we've been aching to bring his sister and her children to WDW. Now we own resale at my favorite AKV and his favorite VGF (which we spend a lot of time at anyway). Our first stay at VGF will be later this fall with our baby boy and we can't think of a better way to kick off our VGF membership. Funny, I didn't care about the DVC member lounge before, but now I'm super excited to visit for a tiny water bottle and bag of salty snacks!

I'm thrilled to have bought VGF direct a couple of months ago with the great summer specials. It is my DW's favorite.

A few years ago when we first bought into DVC, we were researching which resort to buy, how many points, UY, budget, etc. We almost pulled the trigger on VGF resale in the $200/pt range, but didn't. Instead, we bought RIV direct. And a year ago, after our BLT resale was taken by ROFR, we almost bought VGF resale in the $175/pt range, but didn't.

Earlier this year, I decided to jump on BLT resale while ROFR was sleeping. While we were waiting for those points to load, I read about the VGF deal here and had to jump on it. (BTW, you guys are a bad influence!)

Congratulations on your baby & DVC! Interestingly enough, the lounge was the number 1 thing my boys (grown) asked about. Esp at Epcot on hot days, that lounge is soooooo incredibly nice! As an aside, I bought DVC in 2009 when my boys were smallish, and they have grown up Disney (spoiled due to my addiction lol) and they turned out to be magnificent human beings. Not saying it is because of Disney, but no proof it isn't either :)

You're not alone! I tripled my points in the last 4 months.. I feel you. BUT, look at all the money you saved by not buying resale!! Right? :)
