Why hello there you lovely Disers you and welcome to my PTR  Today we are exactly 100 days away from being in the Most Magical Place on Earth, Walt Disneyworld!!!!!

I must say I wasn’t sure if I was going to do a PTR, lots of uhm-ing and ah-ing, but in the end I thought sod it, lets do one and here we are and let me tell you when tomorrow hits I will be double digit dancing like no other double digit dancer has before.

Oh a quick explain behind the title.

Since booking and watching Disney vlogs etc every time I see anything WDW related I get so excited and have this feeling inside like I’m going to burst and I just want to scream :hyper::rotfl: So imagine reading the title like Agnes from Despicable Me (non Disney I know but I can get away with it because she’s so darn cute) and that's where the title came from.

Anywho, lets get on with the introductions shall we :goodvibes

Hi I’m Stephanie (but I prefer Stef) and I am a Disneyholic. My addiction first started way back in 2007 and since then we have visited WDW a further 4 times! I love everything Disney and the dream is to live in Orlando one day and become the next Tim and Jenn Tracker, haha! Only joking, those guys are waaaay cooler than us :cool2: :cool2:

IMG_4570.jpg

Nom nom nom, so sad the pork shank has gone from Gaston's :-(

Favourite Park: Magic Kingdom, because to me it’s the quintessential Disney and I just love walking down Main Street seeing Cinderella Castle and knowing that I’m home.

Favourite Movie: Classic would be Beauty and the Beast, currently would be a toss up between The Princess and the Frog and Tangled. I could watch those movies every day, I love the songs and the characters and it makes me laugh every single time.

Favourite Ride: This is a tough one as favourites for me are hard, I’m normally Switzerland and just say I love everything equally, haha! But if I had to choose it would have to be Tower of Terror. I only recently just discovered this ride as I was always scared of it, but now after having ridden that questionable elevator I love it :D

Favourite Character: Stitch. Why? Because he is awesome and cute and fluffy and he’s my boy.

Next up we have my partner in crime, my moon to my stars, the fish to my chips, My David (or Dave as he prefers).

0F9CA72D-A6B0-4879-8236-C082C5349235.jpg

Can you tell we like our food...nom nom nom beignets

Young Dave has been to Disney 6 times and is just as much a Disneyholic as me. In fact he was the one that started the obsession, when we were deciding way back where we wanted to go on holiday, for some reason he said he wanted to go to Walt Disney World and the rest is, as they say, history ::MickeyMo::MinnieMo

Favourite Park: Animal Kingdom
Favourite Ride: PhilharMagic
Favourite Movie: Lion King
Favourite Character: Stitch

I will let him explain why they are his favourite.

Next up: Where are we staying, when are we going and for how long?

Lol, you couldn't have picked a less flattering picture of me if you tried! The biting of the beignet was purposefully over exaggerated, just an FYI! :rotfl2:

I probably should have posted some better photos that better represent us, although munching on food isn’t far off haha.

Now that the introductions are out of the way, lets get to the nitty gritty of this PTR.

We already know that this trip will be taking place in the Most Magical Place on Earth, but when and where will we be staying you ask. Why at the….

WDW%20Trip%202010%20586.jpg
WDW%20Trip%202010%20575.jpg

Polynesian of course, or as its been renamed Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It’s a bit naughty of us to be staying here, as technically we should not even be going to Disney, what with certain situations at home. But I wanted to celebrate my 30th Birthday Year in style, not to mention it is also our 5 year wedding anniversary, so I ignored my better judgment and booked the holiday. When it came to where would we stay, we have always been of the mind to try and stay at all the resorts, if we can in our lifetime. We have already stayed at:-

  • Caribbean Beach Resort – 2007
  • Coronado Springs Resort – 2008
  • Polynesian Resort – 2010
  • Animal Kingdom (1 night) and Polynesian Resort – 2011
  • Grand Flordian – 2014
Now you might notice a pattern there and that is that we have a soft spot for the Poly. You might say since staying there in 2010 we have been spoiled with the monorail and closeness to Magic Kingdom. To be fair we were going to book The Wilderness Lodge, but when the news dropped about DVC and construction we went nuh uh and changed our reservation to The Beach Club, then the usual doubt kicked in of what if we don’t like it, will we be spending more time in Epcot and can we do without the monorail and convenience of being so close to MK. The answer to that was, no. So we changed to the Poly and that was that.

We will be staying for 14 glorious nights and let me tell you I cannot wait to set foot in those doors and see the new lobby, which has grown on me and receive my first Aloha greeting.

200.gif

We’ve booked a standard view and have made a request for Tokelau (I know it’s DVC but I have seen some Disers say they requested it when they also had a SV and got their requested longhouse), so fingers crossed.

Our dates of travel are as follows:-

Depart London: Sunday September 4th :bounce:
Leave Orlando: Sunday September 18th :(

Next up: Where Are We Eating?

Wow is hard getting used to the new board layout/settings. Took me ages to figure out the multi quote reply.

Lol, you couldn't have picked a less flattering picture of me if you tried! The biting of the beignet was purposefully over exaggerated, just an FYI! :rotfl2:

I like it :D

Would not miss this TR!! Welcome back to the DIS Stefy!

Yay you made it, have missed you xx

I quite like that photo of you, Dave! :goodvibes

See, its a good one :P

Haha well I suppose someone has to. 100 days to go, excited!!!! Doing lots of cool things as well, but stef will obviously detail all of those things I'm sure ;)

Just trying to get into the swing of things, has been so long since I've done one of these things haha

Social Media

Ah I forgot to post my social media handles, as I will be Snapchatting, Instagraming and hopefully Tweeting when we are there and I am hoping to vlog a little, all depends on how busy it is when we are there. Oh and periscope as well. I would love for you guys to come along for the ride and follow me, my details are:-

Instagram: stefypb
Twitter: StefyPB
Snapchat: stefypb
Periscope:StefyPB

Dave doesn't really do social media, he has an Insta but its mostly for his vaping.

Hey!! I haven't been on the DIS in months. I attempted a TR from my last trip but abandoned it. I still can't get used to the way the DIS looks and navigates now. But I miss you guys so I had to check in and see what you're planning for your trip!

Following along, trying to pass the time until our Poly trip in November. My DS12 has that brown bear you are hugging! I'll have to try and find a picture of him with it. Excited to hear about your plans and totally jealous that you get to stay 2 whole weeks! (Maybe someday when the kiddos are grown)

Looking forward to following along Stefy!

We won't be going back until Nov 2017 so I will keep up to date with Disney news Bgthrough Dis TRs and WDW podcasts this year ;)

Yay, thanks for stopping by. I've missed you too, but with the power of social media at least I get to see what you and your lovely family get up to :)

Hey Guys

How are we all doing today? Sorry I haven’t posted for a while, been a bit all over the place. But I am back and today we are talking food

giphy.gif

We love food, especially Disney food. I think I get just as excited about certain snacks, restaurants etc as I do about going to Disney :-D Last trip we had a “Snack Attack!” list which I will be updating for this year. Will try and post if I can, as it is one serious list am talking Turkey Legs, Ice Cream, everything!

As with most of our trips, except the first two, we are on the Deluxe Dining Plan. We tried to go regular, but we wanted to go to quite a few signatures and we knew we would miss Deluxe, I mean 2 snacks each every day for the entirety of the trip….yes please!

So without further ado, I list below the restaurants that we will be chowing down in:-

Note: All of these images are courtesy of Google Images

Boma.jpg

Do love a bit of Boma and now that we are slightly more adventurous with food, I know that we will enjoy eating here a lot more. Oh and Zebra Domes!!!

Tusker%20House.jpg

We have a Jungle Book Alive With Magic Dining Package for breakfast. We will also be eating here again later on in the trip for brunch.

be-our-guest-restaurant-sign-nighttime-1-31.jpg

Love this restaurant and we are lucky enough to be having dinner here 3 times, yes you heard that right THREE TIMES!!!

b28457a7-4d4e-4e25-8adc-adacab9c9dbd.jpg

This is a new one for us. We'll be doing breakfast and dinner here. Can't wait as I love interactions with Chip and Dale, naughty little chipmunks.

hollywood%20brown%20derby.jpg

We have the Fantasmic Package for this one, which we always try to get and Hollywood Brown Derby is another favourite of ours. Cobb Salad, yes please.

OHANA.jpg

Best Friend Breakfast feat. Lilo & Stitch. A tradition and must do for us on every trip. One word, Stitch. Need I say more? We have two reservations for this one. We are gonna try the Twilight Feast in room dining on our last night, tried to get an ADR but there only seem to be 10pm and onwards which is just way to late for us.

rose%20amp%20crown.jpg

We like to eat here as we find the view for fireworks pretty cool and (touch wood) we have always managed to get an outdoor table every time.

hoop%20de%20doo.jpg

Another first for us, we never really thought much of Hoop De Doo. Figured it was too noisy for us, but after watching Joey and Ashley from See Ya Reel Soon eat here pretty much every trip, it actually looks like a lot of fun and I am a sucker for fried chicken.

cali%20grill.jpg

I think we have pretty much eaten at this restaurant on almost all of our trips. We like to get our reservation in time for the fireworks and I think on this night we will seeing HalloWishes.

Jiko.jpg

This is one of Dave's favs, I must admit my first experience here wasn't the greatest. Asked for medium well steak and they came out with blue! But we have learnt to speak out since then, so it won't be happening this trip.

Via-Napoli.jpg

Via Napoli. I have to eat here as the pizza is ah-may-zing! The closest to real authentic Italian pizza you can get. Nom nom nom.

minnies%20seasonal%20dine.jpg

Am quite keen to try this one out and being Halloween season will be cool to see the Fab 5 in their costumes (I hope). Anyone else done this?

kona.jpg

We have two breakfast ADR's booked for this one. Gonna try the macadamia nut pancakes.

le%20cellier.jpg

Fingers crossed we don't cancel this one, like we did with our past two trips. We chose LC over Yachtsman for steak, as Dave has fallen out of love with that restaurant ever since they made the porterhouse steak a two person dish.

crystal%20palace.jpg

Another tradition for us, we try and get an 8am ADR so we can get some empty park pics before dining with Pooh Bear and friends.

Now these are only the table service restaurants. We have a few counter services in mind like Columbia Harbor House, Caseys etc, but I didn't want to list them as those could change depending.

So what do you think of our choices? Have you eaten at any of these? Any suggestions that aren't on here that you think are too good to miss?

You got some AWESOME restaurants booked. We have eaten at most and loved them all. I had to smile when you said you always do deluxe dining. HOW do you fit it all in? :rotfl:

I guess food is just another big part of vacation for us haha. We actually had artist point, narcoosees and the boathouse booked but decided to cancel them. Hate that the yachtsman took away the 24oz porter house, who wants to ever share a steak?!

Great food choices! I will be trying the macadamia pancakes too for our trip late Aug!

Great choices! Three ADRs at Be Our Guest.. wow! We had a great dinner there a few years ago, I'd like to go again and also try breakfast and lunch there too :)

Have you looked at any of the new Disney Springs restaurants? I think all the new options there might make us consider an ADR or two there when we go back!

A surprise find for us last trip was the new lounge at Brown Derby.. no ADR needed just walk ups - lovely selection of appetisers or you can order off the main restaurant menu too.

Tiffins at AK and Skipper Canteen at MK both look very interesting too.. so much good food at Disney, definitely a key part of any trip for us.. can be so hard to pick where to go! xx

We're trying breakfast at the Garden Grill too next time.

I love breakfast at Ohana :stitch:

I thought the Hoop De Doo wouldn't be for us, but we decided to go and had a lot of fun.
