So today I was getting the oil changed on my 2023 Hyundai Tucson Limited and while waiting I checked out the Ioniq 5 D100 Platinum Edition EV SUV they had on the show room floor. MSRP was almost $62K plus dealer fees, taxes and other junk.. All the other Ionic 5's on the lot had some serious discounting going on, but not the D100 Edition. I'm sure I could get them down a little bit if I was really serious, but the salesperson was like a deer in the headlights when I asked if I could use my AP/DVC discount to sweeten the deal. However, the range of only 260 miles during best conditions was the real show stopper for me. We live 374 miles from our BLT/BWV DVC home resorts and can get there on one tank of gas with plenty to spare.
The D100 Edition did look nice, but not nice enough to entice me into going Disney EV. I'll stick with my awesome 2.5L GDI Tucson which gets up to 38 mpg on it's way to DVC. And as always, YMMV! See what i did there?!
