Hi,

We are going to stay at Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport the night before are Cruise(15 days!!!). I wanted to know how the transfers work...And anything else you can think of. i know i have to wait on a bus with a Wheelchair lift

Thanks!

I used to stay there often my first night. We would leave work and get a flight around 7:30 or so. When we arrived Judy would take the carry-on stuff and get us checked in; I would get the suitcases at baggage claim, stop by the front desk and get another key and be told the room number. As soon as Judy would get in the room she would call Room Service to order dinner, and they would normally get there a few minutes after I arrived.

In the morning we would have breakast at the buffet in Hemishphere's, the restuarant on the top floor. I would then get the rental car, we would check out, and we would then head off to WDW in our park clothes.

If you get there in the early evening, McCoy's on the Lobby (4th floor) level has a wide range of selections, while Hemisphere's is Fine Dining.

And when you check out Bell Services will take you and your luggage to anywhere in the airport. If we had a time when we had an early morning flight we would check in the night before and when we went to check out they would take our luggage all the way to the airline counter.

Have never done the Cruise but have stayed at the Hyatt on our first night a few times.

It's a great hotel, very relaxing and you also have the restaurants and bars in tha airport lobby to use too.

You can request an atrium or a runway view - the latter is what we chose last time.

Have you booked the Hyatt through DCL or independently? If it's booked independently, make sure to let them know as then your ressie will be notated so that you receive the "welcome DCL guest" letter when you check in. The morning of the cruise you'll leave your luggage outside your door and a bellman will pick it up for ship delivery. You'll either be met in the lobby around 10 am by a DCL rep or directed to the DCL welcome center ( B side, level 1). If you requested a lift bus and DCL knows you're at the Hyatt you should be departing around 10:30.---Kathy

im confused !!!! how does this work ??> i might consider staying here instead of somewhere in the resort the night before we leave for our cruise ... is this actually IN the airport? DCL will they come get you from the hotel there and take your luggage and everything ?

The hotel is part of the terminal building, floors 4 through 10. The entrance to the hotel is from elevators and escalators near the entrance to gates 60-120. About half the rooms in the hotel actually face into the terminal atrium (and their balconies are in the terminal).
