Airtran :scared1: changed our flight to an 8:00 am departure. Don't want to have to get up a 4:30 to get to the airport on time. The rooms are showing up not at $247.00 a night. Anybody know a site/code to get the room any cheaper or any other close airport hotels that are decent.

Thanks

Use Priceline - you should get a room near the airport for about $50 (and it could be the Hyatt). But the Hyatt's price outright is always up there...

Try for a AAA rate. That is what we did in August, it was 160 + tax. Worth it though, the pool is nice and so is the hotel. You get up, call bell services and they go with you and your luggage to check in.

I tired AAA and rate was $224.00 so still high. Guess I'll keep scowring for codes or specials. Another question. On what level is the check-in for the hotel. Do you have to go thru security to get to the lobby or what?

I second the Priceline suggestion. We ALWAYS stay at the airport the night before our flight...our last trip I watched www.biddingfortravel.com and when I saw a trend, bid and got the Hyatt on the the night of our incoming flight and outgoing flight. Received it for about $45 each night.

That being said, all the hotels in the airport area are very close to the airport itself and would not be a bad alternative

We stayed there a week ago. I did not want to chance a Priceline bid. We waited til the last minute and called the hotel directly. We got a $159 rate. We were only staying for 4 hrs. I guess we could have stayed in a chair at the airport but I wanted to shower and surprisingly for me, slept during that short time. You do not have to go through security for this hotel. Check in is one floor up from the airport lobby. You can either go up the escalator, or use the hotel (glass) elevator. Both are side by side from each other. You need your hotel key (card) to get to the other floors using the elevator.

I've used Hotwire for the MCO Hyatt. It is 3 and 1/2 stars, tennis nearby and NO shuttle.

Good luck!

Hotwire wised up. Shuttle is now there for Hyatt. It has the exact same features as the Shearton Suites... good luck!

Does the Sheraton still show up as a Suite? We did stay with them with Hotwire a short time ago and it was A Suite..that is how I knew to book.
