Hyatt House Anaheim Resort/Convention Center...opening bumped to Q2

I received a call yesterday from Hyatt House and they said their opening has been postponed to Q2 2016. FYI for those who were interested. She said their website isn't updated yet but will be shortly. I was on the "list" to get notified. Good thing we have a reservation at the new Homewood Suites.

I decided to give the Hyatt chain a try for our upcoming August trip. It appears that August 30, 2016 is the first day for Hyatt House reservations, so I can't try out the hotel this trip.

Incidentally, there are some excellent deals available at the Hyatt Place for the last half of August. I was able to book a nine day stay for only $116.10/day ($138.48 including tax), but of course there are strings attached to the booking. The rate is "Pay In Advance, no cancellation", so the charge has already appeared on my credit card. And, the room is a King plus Sofa Sleeper and not Two Queen, but I figured for that price I couldn't go wrong. I'm sure my two teenage daughters are going to insist on having the King, so I suspect my wife and I will be forced to use the sofa sleeper.

I'm looking forward to this stay. We've never stayed at a Hyatt before, and the Hyatt Place has excellent reviews (especially about the free breakfast).
