Hyatt Grand Cypress Location

[Hyatt grand cypress seems like a very nice hotel. It has a nice pool and many activities. However not sure of the location. Is it near International drive? the address says Grand Cypress Way - Orlando, Florida.

Has anyone stayed there, and what was your views of the room,
pool and location?

Can you walk from the hotel and go to chain restaurants, stores? We would like to walk during the night from the hotel to stores/attractions. Do you know if it is near any of the I-trolley stops?


Are there any pharmacy, stores near the hotel and if so which ones?

Any info is appreciated

We have stayed there twice, it is a beautiful high-rise resort. It is in what I feel is the best off site location in Lake Buena Vista, very close to the entrance near DTD for all of WDW. There is a Walgreens right by it as well. The grounds are beautiful and the pools are wonderful. We love Cascades for b'fast in the hotel - a bit pricey but so, so good.

You really can not walk to any restaurants or stores off of property, but not too far are plenty of places like Joe's Crab Shack, Macaroni Grill, Pizzeria Uno's, etc.

Now for the rooms - we find them a bit dated and small. The bathroom is particularly hard w/ a family as there is no outside vanity. Our other issue is how far the parking is from the rooms with kids. When we first stayed without kids this wasn't an issue, now it is to us which is why we probably wouldn't pay to stay there (unless DH had another convention or something and the room was covered). We prefer 2BR units now like at Marriott Vacation Clubs but we are spoiled.

The resort is very, very pretty and a great location like I said, so if you can find a deal, it's probably worth it.
