We are going to Disney the day after my DH turns 41. I want to do something special for it but I don't know what to do!! I was thinking about doing the RP Driving thing but he has to climb in a little window to get in the car, so that won't work. I was also thinking about getting him a dive in Living Seas, but he has mentioned that he would never want to dive where other guests were watching. :confused3 Is there anything special I can do for a 41 year old that is very special and very Disney???? We will be there in Mid may....any ideas????? Thanks!!!

We just returned from WDW on Easter Week. I booked the Segway Tour a few months before we left. They do this in the morning in Epcot. I believe they only take 10 people per session and there are three sessions - 8:30am, 9:00am and 9:30am. We did the 2 hour session at 9am. They also do a one hour session that is inside only. It was me, my boyfriend (both in our mid 40's) and his 17 year old son. We all had a great time.

You go to Guest Services about 20 minutes before your session starts. When it starts they bring you into a room and you get about 40 to 45 minutes of training - it was like an obsticle course - going around cones, going up and down hills, stopping and starting and going around in circles. After this they take you outside and you go in a single line to World Showcase - it is so cool because the park is open and there are some people walking around and then here you all come (someone from the sidelines said - Watch Out - Here come the Hells Angels). They take you into the countries(and it is great because WS is still closed to guests) and they take you to different pavillons and tell you something about it. When we got to Italy they take your picture with the Epcot "ball" in the background. We were then given about 15 minutes of free time to ride around where ever we wanted to go in Italy.

You start heading back to Future World about 15 minutes before the session is over and then they take you back inside where you did your training. You also get a Segway Pin (which both my boyfriends son and I loved as we are pin traders).

They give AAA and Disney credit card discount (I think 15 to 20% so make sure to ask about this when you book).

Make sure to get him a birthday button at all the different parks (you get them guest services in the different parks and when you make dining reservations make sure to tell them it is his birthday. We went for my birthday last May and we got some great free deserts and loads of birthday wishes from everyone (guests and cast members).

Don't forget to stop by Guest Services at any park and request and "It's My Birthday" button for him to wear. My DH wore his last year and everyone in the park wished him a happy birthday!

My mother will be turning 50 when we are there in November, so we've planned on dinner at Concourse Steakhouse :cake: and then a Wishes cruise :boat: to cap off the evening! This is the day after we arrive, so I'll have some flowers delivered to her room so she'll be able to enjoy them the week she is there...and it's all a surprise! party: We're really excited for it!!

SO many ideas...

Illuminations cruise
Wishes cruise
Segway tour
Sunrsie safari (if staying at AKL)
Keys to the Kingdom Tour
Dolphin Encounter

Here is what we are doing for my DH next week (turning 40)

--got Fairy Godmother babysitter
--made res for California Grill
--we will watch Wishes while we dine by the glow of the Castle....magic!
