Hurry flying out this friday, Godfrey tours anyone???

Going on the Eastern 7-day, leaving this Saturday, Please, let me know if anyone has used Godfreys tours?? Wondering about doing it alone, or with a tour? Want to go to St. John, but having NEVER been on a cruise before, I want to do the shopping experience in St. Thomas. Would like any help I can get??

Minniemoms - Having never cruised either, all I can tell you is what I found out through research. Godfrey's tour comes highly recommended on the cruisecritic board. I e-mailed him last week and they do have availability for our cruise. However, the only place you really get to shop is Charlotte Amalie. You shop from pick-up time until about noon and then go on a tour of the island followed by 2 hours at a beach. If you have enough people you can do a private tour and set your own agenda. It doesn't sound like there is anyway to combine Godfrey's with a trip to St. John. If you want to do both, the suggestions that I have read say to go to St John until about noon and on your way back have your taxi driver drop you off for some shopping either in Havensight or Charlotte Amalie. You would also get to shop at Cruz Bay in St. John.

Charlotte Amalie is the only place worth stopping at for shopping.

Aren't you just so excited ? I can hardly wait. I want to do St Johns, but just think it would be less complicated to just do St. Thomas. Maybe another trip. We may do Godfreys then. Thanks

I am so excited and so nervous. It is 4am in the morning and I couldn't sleep anymore. I just needed to check the boards and see if I forgot anything before my last minute packing. We leave TODAY. Can't wait. We have a limo taking us to the airport and the kids are going to be amazed. See you soon.
