We just got back from the WDW the last week of Aug. It was wonderful crowds were low and walked right on everything. we are already planning our trip for next year. This is were my question comes in... is there a web site that has statistics of hits from tropical storms/ hurricanes to FL and the time of year. I would love to book for the last week in Aug again as appossed to June(DH is a teacher can only go when school is out) but I am sure our luck will run out eventually. Also when does Hurricane season offically start? I know we can not predict these things a year in advance but many some facts will help us decide. Thanks of anyone can help.
Last year we (central Florida) had a hurricane at the end of August (Charlie) and two in September (Frances and Jeanne). Ivan didn't really have any effect here, weather wise. September is the most active month (as evidenced by three storms, Maria, Nate, and Ophelia out in the Atlantic now). I saw a great interactive graphic several weeks ago with stats, and of course I can't find it now. If I run across it again I'll post it.
