My dads just phoned as he's away in the Dominican republic, this is how the coversation went:
Me 'hi, how is your holiday?'
Dad 'well, we're staying in the hotel lobby'
Me 'why cant you just stay in your room whilst it passes through'
Dad 'because all the rooms are flooded'
Me 'oh no, are you okay'
Dad 'yeah the pool is HUGE!, how's the weather?'
Me 'raining, i can't believe you flew eight hours for more rain'

So i'm guessing he is safe since he has time to talk about the pool and how nice the breakfasts are
I do feel sorry for all the people who it has affected though, im sure the novelty of the rain will wear off after a couple of days for him. Hope everyone there is safe!
